If the Fabfilter apps are too expensive, or like me, you only buy universal Apps, TB Equalizer and Barricade makes a complete pro level mastering chain.

Reelbus is in my essentials too.

Flowtones is my go to workhorse synth.

Like @Samu I’ve got all the TB apps

+1 for TB Equalizer. It's an insanely powerful parametric and dynamic EQ, going far beyond common equalizers.
BTW, I just got Barricade today after the price change has fulfilled my secret wish 😊 Happy to have a new mastering troublemaker.

Is it better than Fabfilter's? That's my go-to EQ at the moment.

Probably not but it’s most likely a close second.

Edit. I forgot TB apps are mostly if not all universal, while FabFilter apps are all iPad only.

    Universal as in laptop too??

    They work on iPhone.

    Fabfilters don’t.

An app working on iPhone and iPad only is limited to iOS.“Universal” is not a good way to describe an app if it does not simultaneously work on both iOS and macOS.

    No. That’s cross platform.

Universal is if it works on iOS and iPadOS.

macOS apps are in a different AppStore.

I agree that the word “universal” was just a stupid idea and implies that the app works on any device in the universe.

Not every device in the universe, just within their own app ecosystem (the App Store). "Cross-platform" suggests an app which works on different platforms, possibly including PCs, Macs and tablets, phones, etc. These poorly defined categories are far too squishy to be informative.

I grabbed this 2 years ago. Gonna get it again at some point to cover the stuff from the last couple years. They usually run this sale around Black Friday/Xmas, hopefully they do it then too.

Edit - also you might want to share this in the 2022 Plugins Samples sales thread.

Beathawk 1/2 off at $4.99 - not certain but IAPs look lower then usual as well.

I took a peek inside the app. Maybe it's something on my side, but no iAPs looks discounted

I wasn’t sure. I have Beathawk but no IAPs, and I haven’t used it in awhile, so I didn’t know what the regular pricing was. the IAPs displayed in the App Store looked fairly low. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • I bought the SWAM Tenor Sax at full price. Just completed the 4 app bundle (alto, soprano, bari) for $35… so, $65 for all 4. A very good deal, indeed.

No worries, I don’t use desktop much either but there are occasional free sample packs shared, at least I share them once in awhile if I come across them.
Here’s the thread in case you wanted to check it out.

  • For the love of someone, please allow use the set the 'quote depth limit'.
Just because I post a comment doesn't mean I'm interested in a gazillion comments that get way and way more off-topic...

  • I picked up the Samples from Mars deal a few years ago and with my embrace of the iPad finally have been digging into it. It's a really nice way to get a lot of good samples at once. The amount of folder diving you need to do is a bit mindboggling.

What styles of music does it cover?

How do you select quotes, @Samu? I’ve always wondered.

  • Graphic Design

Video Ad Maker Create FB Ads is Free usually $2.99

Ad Maker For Ads & Banners is free usually $1.99

Foto Graphic Creator Studio is free usually $1.99

By manually editing the quote and removing those whom the reply is not aimed at.
The worst case scenario is when a question is directed towards someone and another person/persons jump in and answer without removing the person the question was aimed at.

Sometimes the quote level gets so deep the original question is lost and is nowhere to be found without scanning thru all the posts in the thread…

I bought Swam Cello, my first Swam app. Since you tried them for a while, can you list me your top 3 Swam apps? They are on sale now so, it's time or never to buy a couple of them!

  • tempted to go with a SWAM tryout, now it's on sale. My concern would be if you are just using with onscreen within Garageband - is it a really a step up from GB strings and something like ISymphonic - does the "expression" really shine though automatically without using hardware/onscreen contrller wheels etc ? thanks

It’s huge. But to answer your question in general I’d say it doesn’t cover recorded instruments as in real samples drums and such. Although they did include a sampled drum library lately and you get some bass, guitars and so on on packs like the mpc1200 stuff.
You get a ton of drum machines, all kinds of very nicely recorded synths, bleeps and stuff like weird field recordings “found sounds”. Their website is great and you have a lot of info on every library included.
