Pollyannish is definately not an advisable strategy for them.
Hmm all apps but the first are being "re-released" not just updated except the first app!
I hope there's not an unpleasant 'strategy' behind this 're-release'. My spidey PR-SNAFU -sense is tingling...
Perhaps this is the problem and why Apple will not approve ?
It sounds like the original sessionband app may be done for. They are re-releasing all but that?
I think the original Session Band app has been out of sync with the other Session Band apps already as I don't think it ever got the update to be compatible with Audiobus and was updated last in February of 2013 versus all of the others were in the fall of 2013 or more recently.
I must say the jazz version is absolutely wonderful sounding. I can take a standard, and change a few chords and it's almost a new song. The samples are truly seamless in the jazz version. Not so in some of the others. This ap makes a great backing track generator.
Well I have the original 2 gigs worth that might just as well leave my iPad if it is no longer going to be supported. I do not need room now but will be handy in the future!
That sounds like the definition of Jazz.
PR: Get your answers out before the questions find their own....
The latest story goes like this, fro there Facebook page.

More to keep you informed as we wait for Apple sign off...for those that are asking....
All SessionBand apps (except the original app) have been completely rebuilt from scratch on a new platform - the Apple audio engine which was introduced with iOS 8. We use an external firm to do all of our low level development work and they are one of the biggest and best in the UK especially for audio-related apps but this rebuild has been difficult.
So what's new? A smoother running more stable range of apps with a much better tempo shift function plus transposition for Bb and Eb players and of course Audiobus and AudioCopy integration.
We are sorry it's taken so long but it has ...despite a lot of developer resource. Sign off from Apple is imminent as we have said.
Very frustrating for them I'm sure. Fingers crossed.
These are starting to pop up in the updates section, just the acoustic one at mo for me, will test audiobus when it's updated.
Interested to hear.... from you and it
I'm the bearer of bad news monsieur la Goodyear, still has audiobus initialisation issue, hasn't popped up in the list either, maybe the others will get ab, if the jazz ones get sorted I'll be very happy, just going to reboot my pad just incase that's the issue. I love these apps, but feel quite guilty using them as it makes it sound like I can play, when I put snippets in my turds, err I mean tunes.
Ohh the the first jazz one has popped up and has a different description then acoustic, ios8 fixes, audiobus update, audio copy 2 etc, acoustic just had ios 7 fixes and audiocopy, which is the old version still, I'm feeling happier just can't update the jazz one yet, has an error message.
Acoustic updated and seems to works well with AB, I recorded into Auria with AUFX:Space in the effects slot.
Blues vol.1 update appeared, but gave an error message ('item trying to update does not exist anymore' or something to that effect). Deleted app and re-installed, not AB compatible, still the old version I think, but update did not re-appear in App Store.
edit: Blues vol.1 version 1.2 according to App Store, so not updated yet. Perhaps they pulled the updates again (except the Accoustic one) ?
I do not have the Jazz version.
@mmp
That is very strange, think the acoustic version I got was an old one, jazz one has disappeared now, I got the same error message when trying to update it, wanted to try the new audio engine when increasing/decreasing the bpm.
According to their Facebook page, the updated apps have been approved by Apple and will go live at 12:00 pm GMT on 02/19/15.
In the App Store 'purchased' list it still says version 1.1 for Accoustic, but in the 'updated' list it says 2.0
Have itchy-finger also (technical term) but unless the album's due out tomorrow I would guess the answer is to take a breath and give them 36 hours to get their flies files nicely zipped up.
As for your turds tunes Monsieur RZ, I have it on good authority from the missus that the playing, in the end, is in the minds of others not the fingers of the self. Although, come to think of it, she always says that with a faraway look in her eyes which then falter slightly as though perhaps for a moment, just a moment, she was back in time and at another place entirely....odd business, women.
Sounds very much as you say like a past life regression, to a time when she was a famous musician in dynastic egypt and of the opposite sex, when after a particularly rousing performance, was invited by the pharaoh to give a private audience in the royal harem for his many wives, only to be told nobody has ever turned down such a privilege and no man has entered the harem with his balls still in tow.
Tell me, have you ever eaten out and saw her eyes well up when rocky mountain oysters are on the menu?
I worry about you Mister Z, I truly do. The very idea that my good lady wife, the mother of my glorious son, my bride of the marriage bed, the woman whose supple grace calls the birds from the trees and causes the tides in their temper to become meek, might eat simple sheep testicles or indeed that we would ever venture into the type of establishment that would have cause to sell, roast or boil such indelicate objects. But then, well yes, you touch on a good point perhaps, because she can be very sentimental sometimes about offal.
Probably a song in it.
Pease accept my apologies, I meant no offence, I just assumed being stateside you'd be well acquainted with the tender parts of livestock, I think a beathawk celebrating this culinary misunderstanding is called for.
@mister_rz Hmmm. Let's see. Having trouble with my Song of the Month thingie (still time!), maybe a "Beathawk in an hour" might be antidote. Just to have something to do while we're waiting for the Session Band boys to sort out their stuff you understand....
10.10 Texan time. Five minutes to get some tea. 35 minutes for a song. Another 25 for the video. Uploading, fiddling about: Deadline 11.30. Something about the indelicate elephant in the room or something.
3,2,1: Go.
Noon tomorrow not midnight tonight correct? You have time to do at least another song and even sleep an hour or two.
They said they will have special offers and bundles available when they go. This could be worth the wait perhaps?
@JohnnyGoodyear
My better half always says I've got the body of buddha, now I just have to work on the mind, 05.00 gmt and I'm struggling trying to get an outrageous kick drum to sit in the mix and play nicely with the other parts, then it hit me like ice cream on a sensitive tooth, outrageous kick, insensitive elephant, life has a funny way of working at times, but I've learnt not to ignore the signs, although I admit they tend to have to be neon, as I'm not the sharpest tool in the box.
I'm going to work on a song of forgiveness, let's see, 3 months procrastination, 2 months building and mixing, 1 month mastering, gradually making things inaudible, should be ready for song of the month around september, around the themes awareness and boundaries, as my awareness seems to off abandoned me this day and ran off with my tact to saint tropez.
@mister_rz Herewith, forgive the roughness. Beathawk, done in 38 mins and into Auria for one take make-up-the-words vocal and then Premiere for a video thrown together from stuff in my coal scuttle.
Feel a fine mixture of alive and knackered.
This is going to be a pain, I own all of them and like them a lot, but moved them off my 64GB iPad 4 to make space when they quit working with AB, saved several GBs, now I need to rework my iPad again to make space. Love the samples, need to see if the UI has improved, I was never comfortable with the old UI and some things I either never quite gronked or just plain did't always work the same. Probably just my decrepit old brain.
@JohnnyGoodyear - Very nice, both the vid and the music! Even a reefer madness clip too!
