Cheers mate. Best of luck. 😎
I have to de-recommend the Nymphes synth, even as an entry level or desktop synth. A friend had it and was sick of it in a week. It has “a” sound, but it’s not worth hundreds unless “that” sound is just for you. This BA-1 is as powerful as a Nymphes.
As for this, I don’t care about tiny text, even as I approach my late 30s. Sometimes things just need to look good. I am disappointed in the color options. None of them quite do it for me. I guess the gray’s ok, but they’re off by a few shades on every color choice. And yeah, it matters to me.
i believe there is enough sound demos and in-depth reviews on YT so everybody can make opinion if that sound fits his needs..
Btw to buy synth and then being “sick of it” after week sounds like somebody did not due dilligence and made impulsive purchase without really undeestanding what he is buying …
But i am glad people like that exists, thanks to them there is lot of relatively new good synths for good price available on reverb.com and other similir marketplaces 🤣🤣🤣
For those who really wants to know what is that synth capable (beyond just browsing presets and tweaking cutoff) i recommend review by Loopop.
This is just nonsense :-))) Nymphes has way much more modulation posibilies which gives it much wider sonical range.. of course it’s not instrument for “preset magicians” - it’s tool for experienced sound designers who are ready to make own sounds …
It’s funny to see people judge synths based on presets and not based on actual capabilities of given synth amd iťs real sonic range when properly used …
I will never send a mockup like this to the developer team, it’s enough as it is, forum talk and such. Though I will send a feature proposition, or some fundamental changes which I think will be beneficial for everyone. This one was just a slight skin makeover.
But if anyone else wants to send it, be my guest. 😎

There’s a lot of assumptions made in that defense
I was just looking at the GUI of Fabfilter Twin 3, talking about a visual nightmare..
Yeah - and it’s not like they haven’t been already porting to iOS for years, so should know better. Really gives you the feeling they don’t give a fuck (now here is the part where someone springs up and says, ‘well it must not be in their financial interest to give a damn’, yawn yawn…either way, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of this iOS user and is why I have not done a vid on the app. Hoping they will rework some aspects of the UI first.
This plugin has “special sauce”.
Buy it if you’re on the fence 👍
^^^^^ THIS !
my personal absolute top UI disaster by far is SynthMaster2 .. only one complex synth in last maybe 15-20 years i am really not able to use for any meaningful sound design.
Just’s can’t, it’s mess.
I even can’t tell what should be improved - it’s whole completely wrong, like the whole UI should be deleted some experienced UI/UX designer should create completely new one..
Is not a secret that I'm a huge FabFilter fan, but those plugins are straight port from the desktop and the target market are fanboys like I am
. And to work with them, you need to tighten your ass and open up your eyes as much as you can.😳 Mandatory tool, Pencil™ . 😂
Yeah, sadly I deleted both Synthmasters from my iPad because I wasn’t using them due to the complex UI ☹️
That and the crashing for me
Oh wow 😮 I also got about 2gb back after deleting
I’d rather spend 2gb on Buttersynth 🙌🏽
This is NOT just another synth. Like the TAL-U-NO-LX, the Moog synths and a few others this is well worth the price of admission. Over 500 presets, I really dig the ARP 2600-like slider control scheme, it’s easy to modify presets to taste and save them quickly. I have the other Baby Audio AUv3’s and they all are simple and sound incredible. Hopefully other devs will see how Baby Audio, Fab Filter and other desktop plugin makers have brought their top plugins to iPadOS and they’ve been embraced by the iPad music production community.
I’ll eventually check this out once I can afford to… but can’t see how much better it could be vs what I own already! That said I’m glad it came to the iPhone (looking at YOU, Buttersynth lol)
Agreed it’s fantastic
Thank you my friend 🍻
Looks like an SH101 kinda. Does it cut the cake ?
it has nothing in common with sh101, it’s emulation of this:
https://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/cs1.php
I thought Ryo Togawa’s VAMono is more SH101-isch or am I completely wrong here? Btw, Ryo’s synths have seriously gone up in price. Totally worth it btw.
Definitely worth the price despite the clunky interface. They sound amazing. His effect apps are also top tier.
most close you can get to sh101 is Interzone Valley inside miRack .. sounds great, looks great ..
Works as AUv3 so what you need to connext is really just what you see bellow, nothing complicated
The delay is top tier for clean and simple. The reverb and TfxMod (flanger / chorus) are not that great, imo, and far better options exist. TB Reverb remains, I think, the best value ‘pro’ reverb for anyone on a budget, FAC Chorus the best chorus traditional chorus, for flanger, maybe the Bleass one? Bleass Chorus is also interesting for experimental stuff but none of the Bleass apps have the delicious warm analogue sound that FAC stuff has
I have found Drambo to get to sound very Roland Juno or 101 as well. Not to sidetrack this post, but Drambo’s modules sound very good IMOP. The analog filter is quite good.
So much talk about this Baby Audio and so little about Ryo’s stuff, wh> @dendy said:
Damn, looks good. A few months ago I was about to buy MiRack, but other stuff asked for investment. Most definitely on my shortlist.
Yeah I usually reach for the Bleass effect when I want that effect plus more. Their flanger, phaser, delay, etc are all excellent for weirdness. FAC Chorus is a beautiful thing.
I have lots of reverbs but haven’t tried TBs yet despite owning most of their plugins. I’m eyeing the FabFilter one now but I’ve heard TBs is just as good.
I agree that Ryos Chorus and Reverb aren’t top shelf but I do like them, though the verb is my least favorite of the bunch. That delay though. So good.
I was on the fence, but gave in today. Absolute glad I bough it. Synth wave heaven for sure.
Yep it definitely excels in the synth wave sounds. One of the most analog sounding synths on iOS right now, imo.
Most people are sleepong on miRack cause in their mind it’s jsut about complex messy patches which are generatimg weird bleeps and bloops :-))
But it works ad AU instrument / effects, it’s pretty efficient, and you can think about it just as library of such complete modules where you just connect input and output (like on my screenshost) and that’s it, you use it as complete simple plugin ..
That is actually how i use miRack in most cases.
