Quick fix for stuck notes in LPFi

edited December 2023 in Logic Pro

Not sure if mentioned before, but when you have notes getting stuck in Logic, just customize your track header and activate “track On/Off”
When a track suffers stuck notes, disable the track and put it back on (the first blue power icon before mute/solo)
It works instantly, byebye hanging fellows
This has lowered my stress level treshold significantly without having to reopen session.

  • That’s a really helpful tip. Thanks!

    You’re welcome!
This also works on the main stack track of a group. So, if you are using many synths and it becomes hard to guess which synth is producing hanging notes, then just swith the stack leader on/off.

  • Sorry to dredge this up. I’m getting stuck notes with a twin 3 track at the moment and this trick doesn’t work. Even with the track disabled, I can still hear the notes.

Seems the only option is to restart the project. Double tapping the midi monitor, or double tapping the stop button does nothing.

Have you got any other ways to clear stuck notes?
