The Mountain (Solo, Noir, Jaeger, Omnisphere)
This is a music track that I improvised on two MIDI keyboards connected to Bitwig Studio on a desktop PC. There the MIDI was routed to Solo for the violin, cello, and flute; Noir for the piano; Jaeger for the singing voice; and Omnisphere for the other instruments.
After bringing the audio recording into Vegas Pro, I applied the Lurssen Mastering Console plug-in to the audio mix.
It's titled The Mountain.

This is really beautiful.
Thanks, @jo92346. Not sure why, but everything seemed to come together just right with this one.
Very nice, thank you for posting 👌
Thanks, @GeoTony. Much appreciated.
Your restraint and control is the highlight for me. You let the music evolve in a manner similar to slow motion photography of plants and then matched it with a visual to reinforce the meditation that ensues for the listener. This is music that heals.
Thanks, @McD. I'm still searching for that sweet spot between slow and too slow.
Very beautiful and relaxing. As good as any commercial meditative music out there. I think @McD expressed it quite well.
I missed this first time round. Very relaxing!
Thanks, @Dav and @michael_m. Much appreciated.
This popped up in my Youtube feed, and I just wanted to tell you how lovely and beautiful this piece is.
This is very beautiful, it is so calming, you have lost me with all the gear you used to produce this lovely track, I just know it is composed well even though you say you improvised on two keyboards. Are you familiar with a band from the mid 70s called Ashra, there is a track called Midnight On Mars from the album Blackouts, you and Ashra have used similar sounding chord arrangements, yours is more orchestral whereas Ashra is more New Age meditation music with a haunting lead guitar solo, I can listen to both you and Ashra and almost convince myself I was listening to both at the same time. If this is what your improvised music sounds like, I would definitely like to hear some music from you that is more structured.
Mike
Thanks, @jwmmakerofmusic and @rapidfire. Much appreciated.
@rapidfire, no, I wasn't familiar with Ashra. I listened to Midnight On Mars, and it does use a similar chord structure. It's probably a good base for supporting single-instrument solos. It may also be the influence of Indian music, where the repeating chords have a drone-like quality.
For me, improvising means sitting down and playing notes with very little sense of where it might lead. The less I plan ahead the better -- which is kind of the opposite of real life.
