Not working for me, get a, "Transaction Failed" error message because the "App Store didn't recognize the product."
Pretty much right on schedule, based on Camel's clunky missive stating everything would (kinda/sorta) remain supported until June or July. If there is a future for Alchemy Mobile as we knew it, this is an encouraging sign.

Updated the app but got the 'transaction failed' message too.
I got the update and there were my previous purchases in all their glory!
Seems to work for the IAP samplepacks but not for the Pro Upgrade. It keeps asking me to buy it again...

Nothing like this here, iPad Air 2 iOS 8.2, French store.
I even noticed the amazing thing next: before the update (version 2.3.11): in the iPad's settings the app was 707 Mo (619 Mo for the docs), after the update (2.3.18) the app is now 673 Mo (docs: 586 Mo) ! Not only none of the 13 sound Banks I had bought and flew in late December when I changed my iPad (just when Camel flew away) are not reappeared, but I seem to have also lost something...
Working for me now and able to restore all of my IAP sounds. Pleasantly surprised this finally came together again.
Now new message: "The transaction failed due to a communication problem with the App Store. Please try again later"...
What I have done... 1 minute later, and BOUM! now downloading 1,2 Go.
@SirKen, he ask me if I was ok to "Buy "?" for "?" euros", I say yes (oh yes !!!) and finaly tell me I had already bought it, and if I wanted to download it again (yes, yes, YES!!!). It's very very slow but I think I can go to bed confident. Tomorrow will be a lovely day

To anyone reading this, I got the transaction failed error just like some people mentioned above. However, when I tried Restore previous purchases button again afterwards, it started downloading the Pro Upgrade.
Got out the old sausage, quite determined not to fall in love with it at all, dusted it off, and then gave it a try with Auxy which I've never done before and recorded it back in Alchemy of course and gave a heavy sigh, because it's a pretty thing.
Great.... everything works for me. Now i have all my mobile patches back. Even when i have all the desktop ones, some of mobile patches sound different (some i like even more). I really love this synth (player). Still nothing can reach this synth in term of quality patches!
For some reason Alchemy has long been my favorite flavor on iPhone (there is none more huge sounding on the little device) and I'd lost the libraries with a phone upgrade and the apparent end of file access in iFunbox etal. Bleh until today. Had made me mad at my shiny new iPhone! Now Artificial Intelligence and the other haymaker punches are back. Full joy. (@JohnnyGoodyear: full joy on the pocket device)

OK, ok, never tried Alchemy (or sausage for that matter) with Auxy. That could be really cool ...
So......... I didn't update Alchemy, yet. I did however update the Alchemy Pro in the preset package store place. Did I gain anything? Did I accomplish anything? More presets, than before?
What if you only had the free version with the extra free sounds. I had removed it from my system and now I can't find it in my list of apps. Any ideas?

Apologies for my cynicism. I hadn't realised there was an updated app available. All my IAPs now restored. At last!
For me it was listed in the hidden apps section of iTunes, but when unhidden it cannot be downloaded. Looks like it's gone for good from the AppStore. Just have to wait for Apple's new version, whenever that will be.
Everything is back at home. Even three packs I had not bought were offered to me, free of charge, as a "bundle". Oh Happy Day !!

Oh I'm sorry for you guys who had not yet managed to repatriate the thing. But as said above eustressor, "If there is a future for Alchemy Mobile as we knew it, this is an encouraging sign."

Do you have to install the ipa first from a backup? I bought it but it's not showing up in my list of purchased apps or updates. I lost it in a phone upgrade.
