How to integrate Loopy via Tablet to my Livestream Setup on my Mac?

I want to integrate loopy pro via Laptop to my livestream setup so I can livestream a session.

I think I have all the peaces I need, but still I don't get to set it up properly.
maybe Someone solved a similar problem and knows what to do.

I tried to get it done by asking chat GPT for a solution, but we just ran in circles for 2 hours wich was very frustration to me.
I would be glad to discuss the issue with humans. maybe you can help, by getting it done.

My current Setup looks like this:

  • I'm streaming on My MacBook using OBS.
  • My MacBook is wired to a usb-c Hub (OWC Thunderbolt 4 Hub), which connects all devices with my MacBook and powers them so my MacBook don't overheat.
  • I Have plugged in 4 different devices in the Hub

Devices Plugged in:
1. Iphone Camera (for Video)
2. Audio Interface (Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 4gen) connecting a XLR Microphone (Rode NT1) and headphones to my MacBook.
3. a usb Mic for Stereo Audio
4. My Ipad, wich runs Loopy Pro

The Streaming setup itself works fine, but when I try to integrate Loopy via Ipad, I don't know how it's done.

Do In need to use "Audio Midi Setup"? My Mac can find my Ipad there and I can use it as sound Input but not as sound output (2 ins / 0 outs). My Ipad however could't find my Mac whats so ever. Loopy was not able to find it as well.
The hole setup is run by usb cables, except my usb Mic wich connects via usb A the the Hub.

anyone has any idea?
Please let me know.

I am not quite understanding. Are you trying to send audio from the Mac to the iPad? With the setup you described, audio can only go from iPad to Mac.

Yes, I'm trying to send audio to my Ipad and than from my Ipad back to my Mac.
And I don't know if the is a way to do that without changing cables of my current Setup. Are the softwares wich allow this? Or another workaround?

There's no simple way to do what you want other than with a few audio interfaces that allow two devices to be connected together easily, or a few software solutions that aren't super reliable and also introduce a ton of latency.

    • Audio interfaces: iConnectivity Audio 4c and Lewitt Connect 6
    • Software: Sonobus, StudioMux (defunct and probably won't work)

There's another app that may work for you, but I'm not very familiar with it: NovoNotes Duo.

The best and most problem free solution is one of the two audio interfaces above.

Thanks, I will try the app. See if it works.
