Nice, thank you very much, this will be helpful.

It took me a little bit to figure out that I needed to add another mixer channel like with an audio input for external MIDI to route into a sequencer like Helium to use it, and I imagine others will have similar questions.

On that note do you know if it's possible to move channels around once created? I had added one in for Helium that then routes MIDI out through my interface, and the one added for MIDI into Helium after, so now it shows up after the Helium output.

I don't know that it actually matters, since I don't know if channels are processed in order or in parallel, but logically it makes sense to my brain that I'd see the MIDI interface input first and the MIDI Helium output after. I don't really want to delete the Helium channel after getting it all setup, so if they can't be moved, I'll just leave it, lol.

  • @EnergyCrush : you can reorder columns in the mixer. From the manual:

You can also reorder channel strips as you choose, by pressing on the icon at the top, then dragging left or right (or swiping up to remove that channel strip).

  • Great initiative! Thank you Ed!

Yeah, I found that info, but it's not working. I cannot seem to grab anywhere on a channel when in mixer mode to move it, whether by the icon at the top or anywhere else on the channel strip. Are there any states that are blocking for moving the channels, or restrictions on where channels can be moved?

You put your finger down for a little bit in the topmost section of the channel strip and drag left or right. If you wait too long, a popup will appear.

Man, thank you. Seems like a simple thing, but I could not make this work before. Holding it for a moment before the pop-up appeared worked perfectly.

I get really excited before I realized this only pertains to Loopy Pro. I hope there will details about MIDI Looping when the anticipated update drops sometime this year
