Yeah, this is the same dev making Suggester and he like to try to use the old desktop pricing philosophy i.e new version, pay again. For Suggester 2 the differences from v1 where way to small for, at least me, to pay again, even with the discount offered.
Suggester is a very good app though so I'm not bashing his work.

Same here, although I have to say I admire the methodology if it keeps business flowing. Limited (if any?) online presence, priced as deemed necessary, take it or leave it. There is not much say beyond, that's the price, buy it , don't buy it, meh. Simple for everyone.

  • Guitar Jam Tracks - Scale Buddy is $4 off at $2.99 - some additional IAPs available

With SynthMaster One, I believe I was able to import all the presets since I own the Everything Bundle for Desktop already. I need to check if this applies to SynthMaster 2 as well, be nice not to have to buy them all over again.

I thought that discount was a typo… but AppRaven shows it is not. I picked it up and on iPad it offers 66GB of AI Offline Models.
I’m starting with the newsworthy Chinese AI model “R1”. There are Llama models, image models and also a subset of models for iPhones. I’m very glad I just went for the 2TB iPad to get over worrying about storage constraints for a few years. When I hit the limit I will just offload a few hungry apps like Decent Samplr which is hitting 200GB for me currently and will probably double before I hit the wall.

    Interesting!
What's the size of the largest model and how is the speed and response time?
I'm asking because there's also a number of free apps on the store.

3.5GB for R1 chat (as I recall) very slow downloads.
    6gb for image model.

The first iPhone queries just crashed the app without a response.

It has ChatGPT 4.0 if you supply credentials for its use.

Gemini is working for me in text and speech modes. Speech is close to a conversation and I just drill down with follow up questions…. $20/month

Not sure but I thought it looked interesting myself.

Update here’s the website with more info
    https://white.space/

Update 2. YT video on it, he lists the models and you can add your own. I wonder if the app is its own complete program or a part of the desktop version. It seems like it’s the whole thing.

This is without your API key and Tokens right?

Thanks, I dived in and I wouldn't recommend to get the app. Running models locally on the iDevice will only work for very small models (about 60..70% the size of remaining free RAM) and the better models need to be paid for and won't run offline.
If you happen to have a halfway recent Macbook with Apple Silicon, I'd say you better run ollama and your favorite models on it and access the local ollama server with any of the free apps on the Appstore.

That’s a pity, I was just about to give that a try. Thanks for reporting back!

@rs2000 I wonder whether it manages to do simple things like decent document summaries?

  • Well, I decided to try it. So far just tried short document analysis with the qwen 2.5 model. Absolute garbage output. Maybe some of the other models are better, if not, this is not even worth the reduced 3 bucks price tag

  • Another thing to be aware of is that doing this stuff on-device seems likely to be very hard on the iPad battery

  • Hey, has anyone had luck with audulus IAP? It almost feels like April fools ? I don’t see an option and I’m also “pro”. Thanks and back to it.

Yes, naturally. And I'm tempted to say that the Appstore description is clearly misleading.
