Yooooooooooo!!!!
This is amazing, aka “Telepathic Instruments Orchid” amazing!

Any chance of this becoming an AUV3, perhaps as a paid upgrade?
Thnx @Basscleff
I can’t get this to work in slideover though, how did you get it working? If I try to drag it on top of another app’s UI, I get the message ‘Split View not supported’ and it lacks the 3 dots at the top of the UI which would allow you to select full screen / slideover / Split View
Also seems it doesn’t support midi over Bluetooth? Edit: actually, it does, even though the in-app help only mentions midi over USB, strangely.
Super cool functionality considering it's free. As u can see in the vid, I can send midi into it from my keyboard over Bluetooth, and can send its midi to control pianoteq in AUM
@Gavinski
Wow, that was fast
I put Loopy into halfscreen mode and started chordi, so both apps sits next to each other. Midi goes out from chordi with the virtual network connection...
I was able to record midi with Koala (as a midi plugin in Loopy). Worked great!
You mentioned the not so good built in sounds. I like the Rhodes/Wurli sounds better than these in Scaler f.e. These are SF2 sounds, so not that bad. Would be great if you could load your own SF2 sounds into the app.
Ah, so yeah, this app is full screen only, Loopy has split screen mode, that's why. This Chordi app does not work in split screen mode, but of course, if Loopy does, then great.
Yeah the Rhodes is not bad actually. The synth presets sound very bad. Maybe that's just the presets, maybe it's possible to dial in good sounds, I didn't try. Midi out is the main thing, good it has that!
iOS 18+ only? too bad..
@Gavinski you are the man!!!
@Basscleff this is great, if this becomes an AUV3 I could see the ability to MIDI map the controls to a MIDI controller.
Yeah it is crying out for these buttons etc to be mapped to a physical midi controller, really scratch that Orchid itch!
iOS 18 only... oh, well!
Hi @Gavinski! How did you get Chordi to work in AUM?
Chordi automatically sends to AUM destination. So you just route AUM destination to the synth or whatever you want to control, using the AUM midi routing matrix
Got it, thank you so much @Gavinski!
Not bad… I like the chord capture feature, but why there’s no option for a bpm sync playback mode is a little weird…
I still love https://apps.apple.com/us/app/chordy-2/id1243252791 Chordy2 for chord discovery if we’re talking non-AU.
I have hope that scaler’s new version will be better on iOS.
For non-AU, I still prefer Chordmaps2, or its stripped down version for iphone, ChordMapMidi.
I didn’t know about Chordy 2. Seems interesting by the app description, I’ll have to try it out, thanks.
Yeah, love that app too. What I’ve always found weird about it, they/him devised the whole map, the chord flow through the map, etc, but the actaul app doesn’t incorporate the flow aspect. You kinda need the diagram next to you to remember what chords make sense next, etc…
Granted Chordy doesn’t do the suggestion thing either…
If you do try chordy, it’s ui is a little odd… and it’s been through several revs. I’m still using one that was called mChordy or something like that…
