Extravagant Sonic Journey

Dark ambient 5 channels realtime session in Kymatica AUM.
Mainly featuring samples from some of my Patreon Reward Packs.

Channel 1: “aDG06_chef_gopher”, sample from Reward Pack 47, looped with playback speed set at 0.630 (63%). Elf-audio Koala FX
Channel 2: “glock_glissando3_glitchy_minus7_x8”, sample from Reward Pack 48, toy glockenspiel stretched and transposed down by 7 semitones.
Channel 3: Tardigrain with original preset “Outerspace Pool” with a sample from Reward Pack 06 “Sounds from the Hydrophone”.
Channel 4: Modartt Pianoteq 8 plugin, played directly on the iPad touchscreen. I like how it contrasts with the processed samples.
Channel 5: “aDG_03_spy hidden camera”, sample from Reward Pack 47. Koala FX

Three additional samples were added during the video edit:
Sample at 0:42 is an excerpt from my Sonic Vignette 92 - Lost and Found, speech sample from Memory Collection 01
Sample at 1:35, “deo_06_try something new” is from Reward Pack 48
Sample at 3:01 is “frogs_02” from Reward Pack 35, I applied pitch variation to it

Comments

  • I was looking through the Creations for posts without any comments and finally listened to this one.
Some of the voice samples crack me up.

  • Very enjoyable. I especially liked the random piano bits. It sounds like you were having fun making this.

  • Thanks to you both! Glad you enjoyed it!

It is more elaborate that other examples I have posted. I wanted to have contrasting sonic textures that still fit well together.

The piano bits were added at the end to provide a more acoustic unprocessed sound to the mix. Their randomness was to give an "unorganized" vibe. I played them directly on the tiny Pianoteq keyboard of the iPad screen.

Indeed, I had a lot of fun creating it!
