Midi Notes to Effects
Trying to use a button or widget in Loopy to trigger the effects unit Looperator to change presets. Unfortunately, the presets aren’t visible through Loopy’s actions menu, so I can’t simple assign a buttons to presets. Looperator does accept midi note data to change presets.
So, how would I send midi note data to to an effects unit? If I create a midi channel strip, I’m unable to add Looperator as a destination (only a couple of effects units appear as options, but most don’t).

Two things: see
https://wiki.loopypro.com/AUv3_Presets
If an AU can receive midi , you can send midi to it with the Send Midi Message action or choosing at as a midi destination of any midi controller strip.
If operator is not showing up as a midi destination, that means that the AU doesn’t receive midi. Check to see if there is a midi version. Effecttrix and Turnado have non-midi and midi versions and you need to pick the midi one to send midi to it
Very helpful. I wasn't aware that you could add AU presets to Loopy if they didn't automatically show up there. Thankfully I was able to do this and didn't have to mess with midi.
Good. Just remember that the presets you add to the Loopy Pro preset list in this way are copies of the originals. So making changes to one will not affect the other.
Makes sense, thanks for the tip.
