IK Multimedia apps being removed?
Appraven's been steadily reporting removal of IK Multimedia's apps from the store. I can't find any news regarding this - and appreciate it could just be delayed renewal - but does anyone privileged have more info?

Lol good riddance!
That's interesting. Even the relatively recent Mixbox is gone. A similar thing happened to the Arturia apps last September, and they seem to have returned. So this may just be a bureaucratic foul-up.
They still have a web site, so it doesn't look like they've gone out of business.
I agree and hope they take their horrible excuses for HW with them. MixBox is fine but still IK. This is my personal opinion, of course.
I third this. I sort of have a sketchy memory of when Mixbox was replaced with Mixbox CS and the whole clusterfuck that was IK trying to cram a bloody subscription down my throat/making me have to repurchase the IAPs or something like that. Took them a month or longer to fix that shit, but by that point it was too late. I was done with Mixbox and moved onto BarkFilter's Tripleband preset. 😂
Hopefully IK will shed some light on this i paid for Mixbox and use it a lot. Still available on MacOS. But then its also been almost a year since Tonex for ios was updated. Not a good look. Its iK. I have pretty much moved to MacOs anyways and found plugins I like the sound of better than Tonex.
Got NAM XT and Gigfast on ios now.
I use Mixbox on every song. I sure hope they fix it. I would hate for it to disappear.
Just checking the UK App Store: Mixbox, SampleTron and Syntronik are all gone. 😔
While I don’t have any further details, I can confirm that just having upgraded to Total Studio MAX v5, or whatever appalling name it has, after locking horns with their opaque Jam Points business, Tonex on the iPad / iPhone now appears fully unlocked, with the £150 IAP no longer appearing in the store.
IK have been pretty janky for me on macOS in the past, but I wonder if they’re streamlining their apps to achieve greater parity between the desktop and mobile IAPs. Although this would be aggravating, given how much I’ve spent on their mobile apps, I have probably got my money’s worth. The upgrade was worth it for me just for Tonex and TRack S 6 in their MAX incarnations.
I live in hope.
Good grief. Installing all 9 Pianoverse pianos would take 214.8 GB.
bro mixbox was super expensive I'll be so mad if they delete it for good

I'm a fan of well-designed modeled instruments for this reason. Sample-based instruments waste a ton of space.
Agreed, although I do keep Keyscape installed. I'll go Pianoteq once funds and a sale coincide.
They're probably making so much money on Tonex, they're shifting more of their resources into that.
Exactly why I deleted Pure Synth Platinum from my smaller-storage-capacity devices. 100+ gb takes up too much space. Halion, FMClassics, and NeoFM in Cubasis 3 replaced PSP.
@ikmultimedia can we have more info ?
They have not been here since 2020 looks like.
There was a brief window of time they were actively engaging with people here. A shame they seem to have disappeared from interacting.
My uneducated guess is that it is a glitch > @ecou said:
I suggest contacting them via email. They don’t participate here.
Mixbox, TAKE MY MONEY!!*
*whoops..
I did exactly that about a year(+) ago. I was so hesitant to pay that kind of money even if it was discounted some 20% or so.
I never regretted it and the fact that it's universal makes it even better. I choose one piano and the nylon guitar. It's sooo good. Now, I will not take the next step, I just can't justify paying the same amount again, for 1 instrument an some settings opening up. Anyway, go for it (when you can) you will not regret it.
I've deleted some of those huge space hogs and can't even recall what they were called. Good riddance.
From the IK forum:
Lmao I remember that Peter guy from when I interacted with him on their forums, sad to see he's still so obtuse with answers.
Looks like MixBox is dead, which was really the only product that half caught my eye.
For shame IK.
Yeah I added that I had only searched for Mixbox, Sampletron and Syntronic so got that wrong about all the apps missing. They must be launching new versions. Why take down their best?
Mixbox for iPad and Sampletron for iPad are indeed listed as discontinued / legacy on their website. WTF. The only ones I use , especially Mixbox which is such a great app.
They have to be working on paid upgrades. If not, I hope for them they're not betting everything on hardware like Tonex cause this would feel like shooting their own foot. Especially when there's open source NAM Captures which imho sound a lot better...
It is possible that they know more about their sales than we do and are finding that they are losing money working on those apps. It is a drag that they are being discontinued, but development on those apps might be a financial loss.
IK Multimedia. 🙄 Welp, add "discontinuing iOS products people rely on" to IK's evergrowing list of "sins" they've committed. Really, I haven't purchased anything of theirs since Mixbox received the "CS" treatment and all the utter headaches caused due to that.
IK have always come off as a shady company anyways, but honestly this is the final nail in the coffin as far as I'm personally concerned. Ymmv.
I love their hardware, but never liked any apps of theirs. I’ve still got my OG iRig and a Pro Duo.
