Saving and recalling plugin and audio routing scenes within LP

Hi, I love hosting LPin AUM, but I need to find a functionality that AUM isn't offering which is the ability of working with "scenes": I want to be able to save and recall them, them representing all plugins' and routing settings.
It would be good if it was possible to recall these different scenes without any audio dropout, which is inevitable with AUM.
Do you think LP would allow this?

Currently loopy pro doesn’t have a scene snapshot capability. It can transition between projects without dropout using the load project action

It might be worth a try saving your scenes as separate projects in a Loopy Pro set list, then switching between them that way. It should be smooth ... within limits. Some plugins or very heavy projects have been known to cause problems. If glitches occur, it's helpful if you can report them in as much detail as possible.

Yes, I see. This is an interesting path to explore as it effectively loads different audio routing and plugin settings with no audio dropouts, although loops running in Loopy Pro (as a looper) are actually stopped while I'd love to have the option to let them flow OR to be included in the project.
I find the project concept a little awkward, but it's probably just me who finds it difficult to understand.
For example, I saved a LP project in the Audio Unit Extension Folder to be used in AUM but when I load it in Loopy Pro as a host I'm not finding the same settings (midi bindings and button placements).
Also, when in LP as a host it looks like you need to first create a new project and save its changes afterwards, which I find weird as I never know if I'm ending up with a new version of an existing project. Having no option to save a new version means I have to plan everything in advance.
    Am I missing something?
    Thank you!

With a project open, if you go to the projects screen, and select Duplicate Project, you will get a copy of the project to work on. You can rename an open project from the same screen if you like.

Also, there is a Save Points feature that can be enabled or disabled. When enabled, each time you save the project, a snapshot of the pre-save project is created so that you can always revert to a previous version. The downside is added storage space.

Templates are important too. If you make a project a template by hitting the "star" at the top right in the projects screen, you can create new projects based on it without touching the original.

Thank you, this makes total sense.

Can you demonstrate what you mean about the project in the AU Extension folder not retaining MIDI bindings and button placements? Are you making sure to save the project?

After saving the project in the Audio Unit Extension Folder once again all the MIDI bindings and button placements are at the right place.
I need to become familiar with the routine behind saving and recalling projects, there are many things to check and many of them are not that intuitive for me.

I'm happy to see LP as a potential platform for both my looping AND audio routing and plugin hosting needs.
I have just spent a considerable amount of time learning AUM, need to switch my mind to LP as a host now, which is based on a quite different architecture.
I'm an old beginner where years of Audiomulch, Max and Usine Hollyhock use have created thick and rigid layers that make my mind not as flexible as I'd wish.
