Just another day in Los Angeles.
* the Middle EastSince I live near Los Angeles, I see the End of Days here every week now.
This sounds nice and apocalyptic.
As long as they don't bomb or burn down the Popcorn Industry™️, we should be OK 🥴
I think that’s the first time I’ve heard “nice” and “apocalyptic” in the same sentence. I’ve found that distorted guitars, booming bass, and detonations are great stress relievers. I feel much better now. Thanks for listening.
@NeuM @SevenSystems I live just outside of Chicago. I’m guessing we’re next. Crowds On Demand are a national enterprise. I didn’t believe it until I saw their web page. I wonder what their price list looks like. They have a link to “REQUEST A QUOTE”.
Stay safe!
Lol. Everything is a psyop man.
“End of Days” is old testament right? It references a Messiah but was written we before Jesus dropped into the
crazy political world of the Middle East.
I think the people of that world would consider this music to be apocalyptic for sure… with enough power behind the speakers.
Nice work @Paulieworld glue all the wonderful energy into a composition.
This rocks! Lots of riffy goodness in every bite. Been lost in a new project and finally came up for air. Glad I checked it out!
Hope you are doing well Paul.
"Hello, I'd like to request a quote for an anti-riot riot crowd..."
Hey Mac! Looking forward to your latest project. Keep me posted. We're doing fine. It's summer festival season! We went to the Woodridge Jubilee on Saturday. Bingo, beer, and live music by "Whisky Fist". They weren't The Allman Brothers, but they were pretty good. Actually, the beer was $10/each so we skipped beer this year. I came really close to winning some bingo cash, but someone always beat me. They had fireworks, but we got too sleepy. Best wishes to all of you!
That's a great idea! I would think that, from a business point of view, they would want to maximize their revenue by covering all bases. Makes sense to me. Ah, common sense... what a quaint idea! As they said in Hill Street Blues, let's stay safe out there!
It probably comes from the Old Testament, but to be honest, I just thought it sounded cool. A few others have described this as "apocalyptic". I haven't lived through one... yet, so we'll have to wait and see. I hope it's a very long wait. BTW - I used airplane glue! That explains a lot.
I told Livvy that joke last night. I started by casually mentioning how I used a thesaurus in high school to help my writing homework. She should get one! About 10 minutes later I told her the joke. It only took her about 2 seconds to get it. It was priceless!
I still have several unused tracks from our Sketchbook collaborations. I was playing a few along with 1833. They sound really good... really good. If you are interested, enable it for download. Have a good week!

I put the mixed wave file and a folder of all the audio stems in the shared folder if you want to have some collaboration materials to build with.
I'm hoping I'll be able to post it soon. I used some new features currently in early testing so I'll have to wait until Vidu gives the ok to share it.
The music is more pop influenced than my usual fare but I wanted to do something outside my comfort zone.
Not sure how well it will be received but I enjoyed just learning how to use the tools and honing my skills and trying to find creative ways to approach problems.
@MadeofWax Nothing wrong with pop music. Actually, it’s probably likely to get more activity. Will there be vocals? I’ve wondered if AI can handle 2 and 3 part harmonies as well as solo voice. Just got home a little while ago. I have a couple things in limbo, but I just don’t feel like working on them. I think I’ll just enjoy sitting outside and do nothing until dinner.
Yea, I generated something that was more of a 2010's kind of pop/house/melodic techno. In the video I actually have a female singer doing some vocals using Hedra to make the lip sync work.
The difficult thing with talking/singing in video in AI right now is movement and multiple speakers. Most AI generated people that are talking or singing are stationary and the camera movements are small if there are any at all.
Google Veo 3 looks like it's beginning to solve it, but they are costly and I don't even want to learn it if I can't afford to use it.
Hedra lets you choose who in an image is "talking" but I've never tried having a duet (or more!) singing together.
I've heard rumors that lip sync is in the development pipeline at Vidu, but not from anyone official. I would love to get all my tools under the same roof.
It’s sure a fast moving industry. I hope your wife is okay with the “chick singer”. Sounds like dinner is ready. Have fun.
I listened but I’m still here.
Now this is one to get the blood flowing. Almost has an industrial quality to it maybe? Sort of reminds me of Ministry's Psalm 69 album. This must've been fun to make.
Definitely. This also had crossed my mind when i listened.
Be patient.
It's a three-body problem.
It was definitely fun at the time. It has two more parts that I left out because it was running long. I started to use them in something else called "Shrapnel", but I put it aside. I like industrial metal, but don't think I could do it for a living. I'll come back to it later, if we're still here.
Ah, Ministry. Years ago I had several albums by Mr. J. My ex got all my music and audio gear, as well as my power tools. I got the china. Go figure. I managed to keep Twitch. It was in my car and she never knew about it.
Rock n' Rave - I can hear the four riders of the apocalypse coming!
Nice, that was damn close to metal,
Just curious are those sampled guitar tracks from an app
@pbelgium @Jmd8928 Thank you! Everything is fake. I like using Riffler for the “solo” guitars. I exported some matching MIDI and played it in unison over a few parts. You can also duplicate audio parts using different guitar sounds to thicken it up. Pan each slightly different. I doubt if most people even noticed on something like this, but I knew it was there. I also used some samples from Blocs Wave. They are budget samples but when you pile them on, it sounds pretty good for this type of thing. Everything sort of gets lost in the mix. Thanks for listening. Have a great day!
