22 new features ...
If I make an "upgrade" on my Loopy pro 1.x.x today will that only upgrade features for version 1, or will it also upgrade the Version to 2.x.x tomorrow?
If you purchase a license today, you are entitled to all new features rolled out in the coming 12 months. You will have to download the updates, too.
Congratulations @Michael, this is awesome work ! Everything is so well thought out, I think I've been waiting years for this
I've made a little video to show off one of my favorite feature, the midi destination switch. Hope you like it !

is there a way to temporarily
shorten a loop length from 1bar, to 1/4, to 1/8/ and the. 16th. for translation before a drop like a dj. and then reset back to original length to continue song ? if so how?

Use an extra loop. Use the copy action to copy the loop into it. Use the divide action as needed to reduce the length as needed. You can set up widgets with series of actions to automate the process.
oh , so have multiples of the same loop, and use widgets to automate between them?
Thank you. Then I know.
Great video, and a great new set of features! I went ahead and pulled the upgrade trigger because this is a no-brainer. I've been anticipating MIDI clips for a long time, but I'm blown away by how much thought has gone into bringing MIDI workflows on-board, way beyond what I was imagining. This might make Loopy more useful than Logic for me. Congratulations @Michael on a fantastic release (I've been playing with the beta)!
The 2.0 Loopy Pro app showed up on the App Store in California 2 hours ago. I paid the $14.99 to upgrade with the 18 new features.
OK everyone, what's the most fun thing to do in Loopy 2.0? Go!
Not when he talks but otherwise this guy is the doppelganger of Seth Meyers.
Congrats on the release Michael, will pay the very fair price as soon as I can.
That's great, thank you, I'd like to think I would've known that... but I didn't and you present it simply and clearly. Off to fire up the Moogs and midi fighter
And look - how to do it is already updated on the wiki
Thanks @espiegel123

I’ve never used Loopy Pro before, but I recently decided to invest time in learning it because version 2.0 looks incredible and offers some amazing new features. I’ve been eagerly waiting for the launch over the past week, until I discovered that it uses a black background with no option to change it.
Unfortunately, I have a visual condition called palinopsia. This means that reading white text on a black background causes severe visual disturbances for me such as ghost lines between text, shifting letters, wavy lines, flashing or pulsing lights, and even dark patches in bright areas. These effects can be intense and often trigger migraines.
To my surprise, I’ve learned I’m not alone, many others seem to experience similar issues with high-contrast dark interfaces.
It would make a huge difference if users could customize the background color or choose a light mode. Is that something that could be considered in a future update?
Cheers
Ooh, interest piqued.

(not "peaked" as people on this forum keep saying
If I can get the Midi Fighter Twister to do a bunch of stuff and avoid too much screen time then I'm all about this
In iOS settings, try turning of Full Black Background. Loopy will use less contrasty gray.
Does that help?
Updated. Upgraded. Goggles on. yessssss.
Thank god somebody else around here knows how to spell piqued! 😂
favorite things, playing back loops and oneshots polyphonically as a pitched instrument, or as a bunch of sliced samples, midi loops, the quick and easy routing of everything. it’s kind of incredible.
Even if they haven’t mastered the full stop.
Thank you for your reply.
I waited until nightfall to run a proper test. Unfortunately, while there was a slight change, it wasn't significant enough to make any real impact.
Thanks!
@mhc0 - In Accessibility Settings, there's one called Smart Invert and one called Classic Invert. Have you tried either of these to see if it helps? If so, then it's something you can set up to toggle either from the assistive touch on-screen button or from something like a triple-tap on the home button if you have one.
I know it's not a full solution, but it might be worth checking out if you haven't already. You wouldn't want it on all the time, but with the right settings, it's pretty easy to toggle on and off for just when you're in Loopy Pro.
[edit] Smart Invert didn't do anything, but Classic Invert looks like this:
...oops ... screenshot doesn't capture it. How odd.
