  • Well done Mister M. You are a true doula Sir (apart from the female slave and dying bit).

I don't think I've ever sat all the way through a YouTube video longer than 20 minutes. I watched the whole Dub FX thing in one sitting and would still be up for a sequel. Great stuff!

It was a great interview! I’ve actually thought about it a lot since I’ve watched it.

You could feel a type of comradely between the two that is hard to emulate unless it’s genuine. Often times the defenses of the interviewee have to taken down by the interviewer to have such open dialogue and clear and thoughtful answers.

It helps immensely that they’ve known one another as long as they have, and that Dub is comfortable with Michael, with being on camera, in his house, standing up on a mic explaining gear he has tons of experience with, and his process and how he utilizes a tool he so evidently has an immense amount of admiration for.

As for Michael’s part, Great listener, asked plenty of great follow up questions, didn’t try and force a pivot to talk about himself (often a case for others), it was evident they cared about their software but also was more engaged with the Dubs process, and above all he seemed to enjoy himself very much, Dub FX did seem to as well.

There’s a certain type of art to interviewing and the process has, like most skills, an incredible amount of variables to do well, to be engaging, to be informative, and to be entertaining.

This episode hit all the marks to me and I’m excited to see other artist spotlights. It helps that Michael is a hell of a human. 🙏🏽

(I consulted, edited, produced, acted, and engineered podcasts (audio then video) as my main gig for several years until a couple years ago - in case my random analysis piques anyone reading curiosity)

congrats on the release…and to all involved in getting it to here…

I love the Sherbrooke Forest. Nice to see the creativity of the area getting some global love.

I managed to watch about the first hour and then I had to open Loopy up and get playing. I liked the setup Dub FX has going. I now want to look into Alan and Heath mixers in general.

Congrats for the release. I spent some time today on it and after just scratching the surface I can already create a template that fill some of my needs (that no other app on iOS can do). The navigation through preset is precious. Very very good

  • Bought, bought, bought!
    Now for the fun stuff.

  • Congratulations @Michael

  • Well done Michael. Time to dive into the YouTube tutorials.
