Ground hum using iPad Pro with supplied charger and Zoom H-5

Hallo all

I'm using a iPad Pro M1 with the Apple charger that came with it. Do other people experience issues with the Apple charger since it only has two pins? I'm using my Zoom H-5 as the audio interface and a condenser mike that needs phantom power. With this set-up, I hear a ground hum. When I disconnect the apple charger, the problem goes away.

Are there any better chargers out there that don't have the potential to create ground loops?

Thanks

It may not be your charger.

I get hum and buzz from any interface when there is any mains-connected power supply at all. It's the nature of the electrical in my house and there is literally nothing that I can do about it (believe me, I've tried everything).

My solution is to use a battery bank instead. That may not be an option for your setup, but for me it's the only thing that works.

If you're in the US or Canada, you could try turning the charger around, so the power pins are reversed.

How is the Zoom H5 powered? Does it have internal batteries?

How are you connecting the charger and the Zoom to the iPad?
