Klevgrand - Half the Catalog is on Sale with deep discounts on Modley, Pipa, DAW Cassette, and One Shot
    https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/klevgränd-produkter-ab/id1118902192

That's a great deal on Borsta and Skaka, which I consider secret weapons for iOS drum apps. There's nothing else quite like them that I'm aware of. I wasn't really aware of Modley before, I may have to check that out.

True. Borsta is like 70% off. Skaka 50%

Borsta is a gem if you’re after something which offers more natural and looser sounding drums & percussion. Great for adding top loops etc.

Yes exactly. My biggest surprise was how great Borsta is in a DnB/Jungle setting.

  • You guys were not lying about Borsta. I was going to get Skaka, and then I was like I can cop WaveCloud and Borsta for the same $, so going that route.

    Any big fans of Skaka!?!

    Anything you dislike about Skaka?

Put me down as a huge fan of Skaka. I got it a while ago while on sale on iOS, used it a couple times & the immediately got it for Mac/ableton too. It’s a fast way to add subtle, great, groovy ear candy to almost every track.

Skaka is fantastic, but more like slammer or oneShot in that there’s no sequencer inapp like borsta. Need to send from something like octachron.
Borstas sequencer is genius for brushed snares (while I wait for a certain soft drummer to go auv3…)

Borsta's been on my watch list for a minute... But I'm on a self-imposed hold on app purchases. The timing is... Unfortunate

Börsta for $6 is an offer you shouldn’t miss, the app is very good.

Ok, so out of all these apps I was most curious about Tomofon. All the demos pretty much feature string and vocal type pads, and it sounds very... Stringy and vocal.

Anyone try loading up some drums or some noise into this app? Wondering if I can make into something a little more other worldly! Noise is my friend!

I was interested in Tomofon also. Only examples I saw made it look like SampleWiz. Klevgrand has some pretty bad ass YouTube shorts that showcase their products in less than a minute and often it’s long enough to run thru the core features.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/lcFGYVUS_fY?si=--FAWjp3nle2TUNg

Also, for those getting into OneShot for the first time @ 11.99 or if you just want another sequencer for Klevgrands Percussion apps… I highly recommend Binarhythmic by @cem_olcay

It works so well with OneShot, Borsta, etc…

Also... there are two free (gift) expansions on the Klevgrand site when you sign in. slammer kit and ting kit.

It's kinda confusing as it says for owners of those apps, but then it says as long as you own oneshot. Just download them (under EXTRAS) to your iCloud and open them in OneShot.

  • Do we know how long Klevgrands summer sale lasts?

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Thanks for sharing that @egobeats cheers

Quick question is Borsta very cpu intensive? I hope it’s not too bad, I’ve wanted it awhile, it’s a great price but my iPad is older. Relatively speaking, compared to other apps you use where would you put it on a 1-5 scale 1 is light on CPU and a 5 is very heavy on CPU?
    Thanks

At the moment no, at least I, don’t know. But haven’t checked their social, or website to see if it’s mentioned anywhere.

I’m pretty sure, if memory serves, Doug did a Tomofon Walkthrough on his @thesoundtestroom channel

Update @eylvy has several Tomofon videos on his channel too

  • @Poppadocrock on an old iPad Pro 9.7 (I don't remember, 2016 or 2017) in AUM the Borsta app takes from 17% to 25% of the processor. On an iPad 2021 12,9 (M1) - 5%

I have a 2017 iPad Pro … Borsta is pretty average CPU wise I would say, maybe a little above. Perhaps 3.5 on your scale.

  • There are awesome promotions, but there are SO MANY auv3 effects, I don’t want to buy them all, the buy an app for managing my auv3 plugin collection xd

Which of the Klevgrand plugins are the best in their respective categories?

F.ex. Desert Cities is a masterpiece, I won’t be buying an another delay on my iPad for a long time…

Under Downlaods - I don’t see the iOS option for them to download. How did they open up in oneshot for you on iOS as a dmg?

I'm curious about this as well, no ios download option like other kits (jazz-kit etc)

@offbrands did you ever figure out how to import these? I’m also only seeing options to download for Win or Mac, no iOS. And nothing in oneShot to input a license code. @egobeats how did you work this klevgrand magic?!?

  • Thank you @novich cheers
