and reckless mismanagement of important services will swing the tide. Again, math tells us the different needed is a few important counties in several swing states.
Math, logic and considered analysis are great tools rather than dismissive reviews from someone that will never occupy
the crucial middle. To be honest, you just don’t matter in this peaceful war of ideas and values.

Please don't take this wrong. It says nothing whatsoever about my political views re: Donald Trump. I've pretty much given up on political views tbh.
But ... these recent poll results stand in such stark contrast to the bulk of the discussion I ever see these days about Trump and the Republican Party. If, and that's a big if, such results are accurate. I'm failing to see how battling based on how despicable he/they are is effective.
Sorry, but I don't think you can whip up enough hatred to combat the core issue ... failure to offer something compelling as a balance for people to connect with. I just don't think this one can be hated out of. I wouldn't be wasting my time if it were my job to salvage things.

They may not be a complete strategy but they are a good place to start.
Trump's supporters elected him to "drain the swamp": to get rid of alleged coruption and cover ups. And now he is involved in exactly that - a cover up.
Many hard core Trump supporters are seeing him in a new light, and they are not happy. They will never vote Democrat as a result of this cover up, but they might ease off on their support for Trump and the Republicans.
We are only 6 months into Trump's term and over a year away from mid-term elections. And 3 and a half years from the next Presidential election. A lot can happen in that time.
The Democrats are in a bad place now as far as polls go but it doesn't matter as we are so far out from any elections.
It will be interesting to see how things stand in 6 months time. The Democrats might not need to "defeat Trumpism" (whatever that means). Trump may do it all by himself.
Donald Trump won't be the candidate.
I'm not at all sure that putting people off on him will put them far enough off of the reasons they elected him. I'm not seeing the needle move at all on that score, despite the sheer magnitude of screw-ups, overreach, and instability on display. Like it or not, there is still apparently a strong majority that want the core direction. If a candidate can come along that can convincingly make the case that they can continue along that path more sanely ... they're gonna win.
All I'm saying is if the same effort isn't put into presenting a convincing alternative direction, it looks to me like Democrats are in for another surprise drubbing in 2028. Sorry, but I just do not believe they can simply anti-Trump their way back into power.

Remember, Trump only won by a small amount, just like Biden in 2020. A change in 2 or 3 hundred thousand votes could determine if a Rep or Dem President is in the White House.

This is the critical issue for me… he’s showing rapid decline with disclosure of his medical issues this week.
