already stuck LP2
tested LP2 radio buttons to switch sounds but realized in a group I couldn't turn it off so added another button which turned off midi source, but hitting the first two buttons midi destinations I made were still muted, so I deleted all the radio buttons. now I can't get midi source working on certain channels no matter what I try. the midi source working fine on other channels to trigger other AU instruments, but a few of them will no longer recognize a midi keyboard, even if I delete the track and start fresh. the AUv3 channel shows the Midi input enabled but it appears greyed out in the channel strip. only odd thing I can think of is when you enable Midi Source from a button a long long list of past sources cues up and many of the same input midi keyboard is listed... hope this makes sense. may have to start huge setup from scratch if can't fix...?

First suggestion: Consider enabling
Use Save Pointsso that you can revert to a previously saved version of this complex project in case things start to get too twisted up like they have in this case.Next, it's probably best to get back to making it so that your midi destinations all work again. You've probably gotten midi destinations disabled with the widgets that you've now disabled. To get them working again, tap on each destination color(?) and make sure the Enable button is engaged.
A screenshot of your current mixer might help for more specific suggestions. Some of this is guesswork without more details.
This can all definitely work with radio buttons. I do it all the time. So once the mixer is put back in order, we can go from there.
Please post screenshots of your mixer in extended mode.
Can you duplicate your project, clear all clips, zip (compress) the project and upload it?
I forgot I did save as another version before starting so I can go back before adding LP2 changes. It's still a mystery how the new file can play one AU with an external keyboard but adding a fresh AU it won't play even though it says external keyboard enabled (but remains grayed out in channel strip). I even checked and new AU would play from 2nd external keyboard but not the one when I disabled in deleted radio button. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious ; ) If I can't get to the bottom of that file I'll try uploading. thank you for suggestions and help!
Without seeing screenshots of your extended mixer or your project, I hesitate to guess. If something is grayed out, we need to see all the panels related to the connections.
my mistake the midi connection in the channel strips all appeared spotted outline which I was calling greyed out. I was working on setup yesterday after stepping backwards to better saved version. later on in day the same thing happened where just one AU stopped responding to midi from one external keyboard. after trying several things and testing with second keyboard to no avail, so I just saved and quit Loopy and reopened project and it was working again. even wondering if it is specific AUs or iPad thing too? will keep you posted if I narrow it down if it happens again. thank you as always : )
I would be interested in seeing screenshots of what you are calling grayed out. Dotted lines indicate MIDI targets and sources. Dimmed indicated disabled. In this screenshot, one destination (Viking) is disabled as a destination.
