Artificial, soulless, saccharine drivel. That was truly woeful. Get out.

  • edited July 2025

I would claim that every minute of the 10hr Black Sabbath celebration concert in Birmingham on July 5th was better than that drivel.

So when you say Artificial are you meaning it was AI? I’m not sure I saw the same video or not.

I assume 'artificial' is a fightin' word meant to illicit a response, ala spirit of the thread.

  • It wasn’t Ai . It was from “The Voice “ Norway.
I’m surprised at the response here, frankly. I can’t stop listening to it . Look at the audience . I say to all naysayers on here post a video of you performing somewhere where the audience is in tears.

  • Surprised? Isn't 'fight me' asking for a fight?

  • Why is this posted in General App category?

  • Is it just me that can’t hear anything… don’t have a FB account ?

One of us! One of us!
Got no sound either. Sounds like we didn’t miss much tho 😉

  • Moved to the Other Music Content category.

I suppose OP was hoping more for a kind of 'I'll see you and raise you' kinda fight instead of an assasination of his musical taste. 🤔

@Telstar5, not really my kind of music but I appreciate the talent and feeling. Good singing and harmonies for sure.

Yeah you did say: "fight me" hence my somewhat aggressive response, but with no ill will mind you. It isn't for me you know, respect that.
Here's the YT video for you who can't use FB for whatever reason: @espiegel123 @GeoTony @offbrands

It's a very nice cover of that song, two beautiful voices, I wish I had that kind of talent. Thank you for posting, I never would have heard it otherwise.
I'll add this one, although it was recorded last fall so should fight in the "best 5:30 I heard in 2024" weight class. It's also gorgeous- David and Romany Gilmour

Then it’s fine! I have nothing negative to say about it. It just is. Maybe for me it’s the scene. I would like to hear more from them elsewhere on a different setting and something they’ve created themselves.

When I do listen to music with vocals, I mostly listen to women, a tonal preference I imagine. So I’m your key audience in this post and truly I’m not sure it should illicit tears unless they’re friends and family in support? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I will say that men on the internet taking the effort in calling young women on a tv show covering a song (one I used to listen to often) drivel is sweaty behavior.

That’s an odd comment “something they’ve created themselves “.. Would you say the same thing about Frank Sinatra?

You’re right although it doesn’t hit me the same way. Plus half of it (my original post )was being able to see the audience reaction .. Only thing I don’t like are the plodding drums .. That’s his daughter ? Great voice for sure

Where have you been lately ? “Fight me “ is a common online expression .. it doesn’t mean “fight me “ literally , EVER except perhaps 20 yrs ago . It just means “I’m sure of it “..
    From Google Ai-
The phrase "fight me" is an expression typically used to challenge someone to a physical fight, but it can also be used figuratively to express strong disagreement or challenge someone to a contest. It's often used in a playful or provocative way, but it can also be a serious call to action. “
I thought it was obvious I meant it playfully . Who’s gonna fight someone over whether or not they like a clip they posted ?

I never seen it before, sorry I'm not as well phrased as you in digital lingo (+ English is not my first language) but never mind that, I did add: " no ill will".
Last but not least: you were wrong, it wasn't the best 3 minutes I've heard all year. Far, very far, from it.
    Moving on.

  • edited July 2025

I must have been living with @Pxlhg for the last 20 years as I also only knew one meaning for ‘fight me’…
Allegedly English is my first language 🤔
    Nice singing though 👍

  • Nice duet… the backing band and the audio engineering for a live TV event is really good. That B-3 Organ player is great at using the Leslie speaker to add extra interest when the vocals have a pause. The two girls are extremely reserved and seem to be focused on their pitch, harmonic interplay and looking at each other. It works for me and I’m glad it was called out for attention.

I get that many people don’t like the same music I do and I often try to find out what they do like and I generally find something I would never have discovered that has real merit… there are so many ways to approach music and move someone. We should never apologize for what we truly love… and we should generally respect someone for sharing their bliss. Better to just go with the tried and true “no comment” comment: “That’s interesting.” even if the thing that’s interesting is that someone can like it.

  • @Pxlhg : It WAS the best thing I’VE heard all year . I never said it was the best thing YOU’VE heard .lol.
BTW , this is one of those sayings that you’ve never heard as of yet but now you might begin hearing it often once it’s been brought to your attention. We all know how THAT works ..
