    Nothing sexual, of course.

Good idea… probably better to report those experiments on another forum: r/ipad_anal maybe. Thanks for the suggestion.
Did I mention my engineering degree was 50% electrical and 50% computer engineering?

I tried to check out that Reddit site: iPad_Analysis, but they wanted me to sign up and post a selfie, so I took a pass. My degree was in Ancient Babylonian Choreography. Not many opportunities, so I ended up doing some coding. Have you ever seen the last page of the Sunday paper where they show grocery product shots. That’s Kwikee Local Server. That’s me! Everybody loves a Kwikee.

I don’t think I’ve seen a Sunday Paper since 2010. For Kwikee’s I’ve heard that a local truck stop has a glory hole.

If you do code are you leveraging one of these new coding bots that will make your job obsolete?

If you glue a copper wire to a dime and connect the wire to your body at some point would the dime hold a note just like your finger? I laid a penny on a note and it plays when touched so we need a conductive path.. that could be an 'analog' latch. I only have an iPhone today and no way to get wire...

I tried aluminum foil balls to simulate pedal buttons once and I think that worked for shoeless touches like the typical guitar pedals.

Is there a physics boffin around to propose materials to create extra touch options?

I have too much time on my hands. I need to be NG more gear to the hospital for these 12 hours shifts.

Didn't you see my crazy pen machine!? These pens are very cheap on Azamon. I have built a contraption with 5 pens in a circle but I haven't made a video with it (below video). It works fine, I have not tested with GS. Gotta do that.

I’m going to add your suggestion to my To Do list but I need to find a Proctologist that does home calls because I’m too
shy to go to the ER. I think I have copper wire splinters but can’t be sure. Back problems and a neck with screws limiting my
rotation… from a self driving car experiment in 2014 that didn’t work out so well.

Me neither. Are you referring to the Glory Hole in Glendale Heights? I pass it on my way home every night. The parking lot is always “packed”. I don’t do coding anymore. I just do high volumes of extremely simple third grade math under extreme pressure. Even the machines don’t want to do my job!

    Yield not to temptation.

The parking lot is always “packed”.

And so are some of the customers, if you get my drift.

They will make a machine that wants to do your job.

  • Excellent. I got a Science Fiction Theater vibe at the end. I’m losing my mind!

    Any problems just shout ☹️

Thanks! Got the basics working in Loopy Pro. The MIDI filtering per instrument is via the Gear icon on that AU3 in LP. <3

  • Almost forgot, as I got a little sidetracked by McD. 😅

    Sounds good, nicely done Tony.

I appreciate the “clue” you provided with those iPad capable cheap pens. I’m going to see if I have a handful in my
    junk pen/battery/tape etc drawer.

    Sounds good, nicely done Tony.

Please understand that any comment on a creative work keeps it on the front page for more love from more users. I always add comments to creations I’d like to see get some props. (This is one of those comments).

  • Thanks @Paulieworld , @NeuM, @Pxlhg & @LinearLineman .
    Glad it’s working @des1303 👍
No problem with the derailment @McD … I’m sat on my deck chair basking in the glow of all the publicity that your informative and entertaining comments are creating. I’m just nipping off now to put some clothes and sun cream on 😊

No insult intended but I would put the sun cream on before the clothes. I’m speaking from experience and wearing some
grease stained cargo pants… fully loaded with cargo.

FYI: I went to Staples and got a 3 pack of those iPad “pointers” for $17 and some hardware from Home Depot to add a solid base to the “analog 11th finger” hardware. I tested a DIY design and determined I need to add a flexible segment of stranded copper wire to get this “pointer” to latch after the hand is removed. I did locate a 3 inch segment in my junk pile on a light dimmer/switch and it’s just not long enough and a bit too rigid. If the design works I may end up with 3 “extra fingers”.

The pointer rubber point is in the pen cap so the “analog finger” can be a couple inches since the pen section is NOT needed.

Cool, hope to see it in action in due time. My 5 "finger" extension works quite well with TC-11 but are useless in an app like GeoShred. Good fun anyway. I might do a video myself if I can get over the uninspired stint I'm in (they do come and go, don't they)

  • Are we sure that terms like “3 inch segment”, “analogue finger” and 5 “finger” extension aren’t from some sort of AI porn channel ?

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? An AI Conspiracy Theory that goes so deep we may never be able to pull out!

  • Just lovely. My only complaint is that it stopped. I wanted much more. Truly creative.

As for holding a note.. would it be possible to interrupt the note on and send it out to a StreamByter or mosaic script that holds it and sends note off back to geoshred after a pre-determined time or in response to another event. Would require some care since you would be deliberately creating a feedback loop. Just an avenue for thought.

Since @GeoTony is using a preset that spilts the parts into 4 channels it would be easy to use a Mozaic script to latch
any note touch in the bottom row (filtered by range) and release the note when another note is selected or 1 special note
just turns the current note off. The downside would be a lack of visual feedback that the “analog finger” offers.

Life is full of choices and sometimes no solution covers every requirement. But hold down a note seems like a wasted finger to me.
