Nektar Pacer footswitch?

Any opinions on this footswitch for live use with loopy? I’m finding I need a bigger target for my foot when live looping than is afforded by my stomp box style switch.

  • @wagdog : if you haven't, use the forum's search. A number of people in the past have mentioned here or in one of the other communities that they liked the pacer. Some find it big/cumbersome to lug around

While I typically do search for info, and did so in this case, asking (again) often brings out new users of a product, or someone with an updated opinion.

What a great video, I had not seen that. Thanks for the info.

  • I may be late, but the Pacer is a very complete and versatile super pedal set, relatively easy to configure from the device. (This is not always the case on this type of pedalboard) it handles many types of noon messages. Program change etc can send a CC chain for example. it is perfectly feasible from the device and once the process is understood, it goes even very fast, the shortcuts between presets allow to have larger platforms relatively easy to access, let's say two different CC platforms easily accessible.

The interest is that it adapts as much to midi as to USB, but still requires a power source. Some iPads may not be able to power it. But a Power bank usb battery works very well with a 9 V adapter for example and it consumes very little.

The switches are responsive, solid and not very noisy, we can adapt two expression pedals to send CC, midi notes too (practical to launch a cymbals in my case) it includes configurations already established for the Kemper, the octatrack, daw...

I had taken it to replace that of the Kemper but in the end it serves me for everything and especially for the Boss RC 505, MK2.

There are beautiful colors for the switches! It's very good for also loopy obviously because the possibilities are many!

  • I love my Pacer. There's a web-based editor here:
