Charge iPad Pro while using Keystage midi keys
Hi,
Im using my iPad Pro 12.9 with my Korg Keystage 49 over a usb cable, but want to be able to charge my iPad while using the keystage live.
Im looking for a usb hub that can charge my iPad while connecting my keystage.
Any suggestions on usb hubs that does that? :-)
Best, Theo

Hi. You need a device that supports USB-C Power Delivery. This is the special circuitry that allows a USB-C connection to push power upstream to the host. Most USB-C hubs/docks include a PD port. You can find suggestions if you search in this forum.
This is what I use for my 13” iPad Air M2, it is a Belkin 7-in-1 usb-c hub that allows charging and headphone out. One thing to bear in mind if you go down this route, you will need a 60W Belkin charger (also from Argos) to power the iPad and accessories plugged into the hub. I’ve had my Belkin hub and charger for just over 12 months with no problems.

I like the Anker Hubs and use one with a headphone jack. NOTE: the hub needs extra watts to power a lot of things so I went with a 100W USB-C Power adapter into the PD port on the Anker Hub. I velco’ed the Hub to the backside of an Apple Smart Keyboard so it’s functional a lot like a MacBook ergonomically. I support velco’ing to the ipad itself might be an option if the iPad is held in an upright position by yet more hardware… might be workable on the Keystage music holder, tho’.
Thanks a lot, i bought a Hyper - HyperDrive EcoSmart4 Port USB-C Hub Gen.2, it works perfectly. :-)
