hissing/static- touching ipad stops static
hey all, sometimes i get hissing sound from speakers when volume is around 80%, when i touch my ipad, hissing goes away. im keeping in eye out on weather this hissing is all the time or once in a while, but for now my question is what would cause hissing and why when i touch ipad with my hand hissing goes away. what can i do to prevent this.
i have a simple setup. i do have a powerserge connected to my audiofuse interface with one midi keyboard, one synth and 2 studio monotors.
grounding? static dissipation? RFI? use a better power supply? use better cables? although my setup is quite simple, not too many cables, few USB cables really.
how would i connect my setup to the ground? isnt my power supply already grounded.?
im not a tech head, just some ideas. any help would be appreciated.

Humm. Hissing isn't something I've ever run into. Hum and buzzing from dirty power is always a plague for me, but hissing, never. Hum and buzzing caused by dirty power will go largely away when your body grounds the circuit.
The first thing to do is to try disconnecting one thing at a time to see if any of the attached devices is the issue. The next, which may not be possible, is to try to power everything from a battery bank instead.
Power bank is the only way I can eliminate buzz in my home. Believe me, I have tried everything.
@guitarhero07 : post a recording of the sound. The sound itself can be a useful diagnostic.
I used an Anker Hub for my headphone uses. That Hub has a chip in it obviously and sometimes it looses it’s mind
and produces some pulsing white noise. Unplug/replug USB power solves it.
So true with the brain power assembled here on these issues and someone will use the upload to
make yet another composition from “found sounds”.
