Hey @TheAudioDabbler great to see a new video. Cheers!
Far out man! I can make out a few of them (dubstation, stark, eventide) but you mind talkin through the auv3s you got goin on here?
@TheAudioDabbler I really enjoyed that!
I thought of a new track to read when something is too small:
1. take a screenshot - press a volume button and top (or home) button at the same time.
2. quickly open the screenshot as it displays in the lower left
3. now that the screen shot is open fore editing you can do the slips finger zoom to read very small text.
I did that on this video and could see:
TOP ROW
RoughRider2
Attack Softner
Stark
MIDDLE ROW
AU3FX:Dub
Dubstation 2
BOTTOM ROW
Loopy Pro AU(?)
Blackhole
and I don’t know this by it’s interface - help - some filtering app:
Loopy Pro @McD
@McD : the picture you don’t recognize is loopy pro’s dynamics processor. The lower-left corner is loopy standalone.
Very cool. I've been wanting to try something like this with ukulele.
Quite lovely.
Dabblertronics!
Nice sounds… I’m sure I saw Toyah dancing in the background 🫣
I was first introduced to this style of music in college. My roommate had very eclectic tastes. He had an album by Fripp and Eno called No Pussyfooting. We would roll up a few joints and listen for hours. This is a bit different, but the concept is similar. I think I remember reading an article in Guitar Player in which he discussed Frippertronics, and how he set up multiple tape decks to create the hypnotic effects. Now we can do that on an iPad! Cool track… and cool beard. I started growing mine around Christmas but my wife asked me nicely to shave it. It was nice during these cold Chicago winters.
Beautiful work @TheAudioDabbler !
Thanks for the recc, this album is a trip! Didn’t Eno and Fripp work together on Another Green World? (That solo on St Elmo’s Fire is easily in my top 5)
I like the sound of that. It has been super fun experimenting. I have a few more apps I want to test out with this style to see how well they work.
I will do a quick tutorial on the setup soon.
@Paulieworld I have been growing my beard for a while. I keep it trimmed up some. Luckily my wife likes it, or at least tolerates its.
