New Cherry Audio Synth for macOS/Windows: Crumar Spirit
I always preface posts like this with the disclaimer that I have no deals with Cherry Audio, I just happen to like their work.
So they released yesterday (August 19, 2025) their new synth for desktop an emulation of the Crumar Spirit, which was a synth Crumar released back in the early 80's. They only released 100 of them, so the synth is a very rare breed not many people are familiar with, but as soon as I downloaded the trial version for desktop and ran through some of the presets, I started to fiddle around with the settings and started saving my own wild sounding patches. Whenever I find myself doing that, I know the synth is for me.
Give the Demo version a shot, I think you'll find it a rather stunning and capable synth, despite the simple controls.

I happened to have some credits with Pluginboutique.com, so I bought the plugin through them. Very happy with the sounds I'm getting with it so far, and I'm still learning how to tame this beastie.

It's good at creating some wild sounds. Much better than I was expecting. Still trying to figure out some things with the operation of it, but some of the settings will blow your mind.
