JWM - Dance Floor Hero (80s Styled Synthpop/Synthwave)(Now with a Remix)

This literally started as a client project, and then I got inspired by my girlfriend to write and "sing" the lyrics. This is the result!

I made the entire backing track in FL Studio Mobile, recorded and processed the vocals in Cubasis 3, imported the vocals back into the FL Studio Mobile project, mixed and mastered, and voila. We have a song! 😂

I really hope you enjoy listening to the track as much as I enjoyed creating it.

And then I decided to do something a bit more experimental with the vocals and flip it upside down with an unconventional House remix. You won't hear something this dark released on Spinnin. 🤣

  • Well that takes me back! I feel like I’m in a nightclub with multicolored lights, glitterballs and strobe lights where every guy is wearing a cheap suit with the sleeves rolled up, and the girls are in small groups dancing around their purses.

Damn man, you really captured that vibe here!

Thank you so kindly, my friend. ❤️ Knowing I nailed the vibe I was going for means a lot to me as a fellow producer. 🙏 I now have a remix above as well. It's pretty warped and experimental. 🤣

  • What a fun listen! Definitely had my toes tapping and head bobbing along.

Excellent! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. ❤️

  • I was listening to one of my tracks playing via a wired connection to a portable speaker. Then suddenly a heavy four on the floor joined in completely out of sync. Thought it sounded cool. Very experimental. Took me a moment to realise my phone had decided to connect via Bluetooth and I’d earlier been listening to your remix on SoundCloud! Good to hear your EDM productions have lost none of their energy.

Thanks, my friend. That means a lot to me. 😊

  • Great production as always. Your experience shines through, you rarely or never release stuff that’s not of top quality.

Thanks mate. Well, I did start an EDM cover of "Leroy Brown" by Jim Croce, but the mix sounds like arse. In other words, I won’t release anything that is mid or worse. 😂 Back in the day, I used to release everything online (I deleted most of that early music from Soundcloud years ago and kept the halfway decent ones). But, I've learned to just release what sounds best. That's the key.

I produce music every day, even in burnouts, although the quality of music during burnouts tends to suck. But it's more for laying down the ideas rather than producing the full track.

  • Well, your decision regarding releases shines through! Wonder what small burnout gems you have laying around…

Send me one for fun if you want and let’s see what I can transform it into….

Thanks mate. :) Yeah, I keep a work ethic like Prince (make a shitload of stuff and keep the mistakes), but also filter out what doesn't work (a bit like Michael Jackson did when he was alive).

Maybe, we shall see, lol. All I know is, I got fucking drunk tonight at my sister's house party this evening (loads of tequila 🤦‍♂️🤣), and I need to give it some thought. Not saying "no" but rather "I will think about what may be cool enough to send to you", lol.
