Getting iPad and LoopyPro tomorrow. I have questions
Hello, forum.
In one of the videos, Michael said that it is possible to automate lights for my show using Loopy Pro and an external controller (for example, a Teensy).
I cannot find any info on the wiki. Is anyone already working with MIDI and lights for their show?
P.S. I was inspired by DubFX and Kristof7’s interviews. I’m working on an original live music show with sax, vocals, DIY bass and DIY drums, and I have high hopes for what I can create inside Loopy.

I will tag @espiegel123 . He may know.
There are MIDI and OSC controlled lighting systems. You would send and receive midi as you would to/from any external MIDI device.
Hey @MishaBeast welcome! You’re in for some exciting times ahead. Cheers!
Thank you for the responses. @Poppadocrock @espiegel123 @jwmmakerofmusic
I saw that DubFx is using backtracks in Loopy and can manually change the position within the song.
Is it possible to place markers in a song so I can jump directly to the exact moment I want?
I understand that I could chop the song into samples and manually switch between different parts. But when I’m moving around on stage, I’d like to have an option where the song keeps moving forward automatically without me needing to control it manually.
You can jump to different spots in the timeline. This’ll probably help getting started:

Note: you can also jam loops in the loop page while the sequence runs if that doesn’t get too confusing.
There are many ways to do that. You can pre-sequence everything in the sequencer.
You can also sequence things using Dials’s and widgets … and do hybrid solutions. There are actions to jump to particular timeline sections and to turn the sequencer on and off.
