    That’s some strong guitar work here. And the vocals blend in especially well with this one. In fact, everything seems to blend in together extraordinarily well. Everything is pulling in the same direction.

    @klownshed
    Cool atmospheric opening, as if it’s rising from the bowels of a dark technology. Transitions to a catchy beat with fly-by electronic elements. Your old Speak and Spell has grown up and acquired a brain of its own.

    @NoiseHorse
    Timely entry that strikes a resonate chord for those of us who question where things are going. Less a formal protest than an instructional song that’s meant to inspire as well as to motivate.

    @benjaminprofane
    Fast-paced and bubbling with excitement. The excellent vocals are well mixed with the instrumental backgrounds. Laced with small creative touches that keep it interesting. Nicely done.

    @Ailerom
    Superb double-guitar opening. Strong and forceful throughout with some terrific guitar solos. Head-bangingly good!

    @peanut_gallery
    Catchy tune delivered through some very clear and distinct sounds. Everything meshes well to provide the kind of classic feel that isn’t easy to recreate.

    @AlexY
    Surprisingly convincing synthetic singing wrapped in a quite credible pop song. The instrumentals are also very good. Definitely worth continuing on this path. Lots of potential here.

    @cuscolima
    Evocative opening that moves on to explore various forms of beat and counter-beat. Music that’s as much about the music itself, as it is about a melody or a linear progression of notes or chords. Experimental, but still accessible.

    @Squishy
    Starts out almost third-world exotic. Then transitions to some very cool echoey vocals. Feels like a tasty gumbo whose ingredients are slowly being stirred in a pot. Lots of disparate elements that somehow congeal and percolate as if they naturally belong together.

    Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it

    @richardyot : “Pink-Floyed” song, very nice instrumentation. The mono-pitched voice suit you well, an overall very enjoyable track

    @NoiseHorse Interesting track. I like the melody and how it is played. Just let the track “breath” a bit more and stop singing to give more place to the instruments

    @benjaminprofane Just wow…this is crazy good. I saw that you mention Thom Yorke in your tags and I think it is completely fair. Beautiful song, work of art ! I’m a fan

    @Ailerom Amazing track, I really like the distorted guitar at the end. Maybe push a bit more the bass and a bit of stereo to my taste

    @DavidEnglish Well this is very in line with the kind of music you like to produce. Beautiful atmospheric song, I enjoyed it

    @klownshed Nicely evolving electro-music with a very retro drum-track mixed with more recent synth. Very good

    @peanut_gallery Could have been in the Top Gun soundtrack (the first Top Gun). Sounds a bit too retro to my taste but well done

    @AlexY I like this track very much. The voice is beautiful and it could have been a Kim Wild song (and I say it in the good way)

    Thanks!

    Here's my slab of electronica. Lyrics in the spoiler.

    A. A-A-A-A. A-A-A. I.

    Cool range of sounds in the intro. I hoped that was going to continue. Had a great sound that evoked a lot of dark imagery in my mind. The rest of the song is hard to comment on. It's not my kind of music. The piano was cool as it had a very raw sound to it. I would have preferred a nice pad over the choir sound. Just the bass, percussion and piano were enough to carry it along for me.

    Thanks for commenting.

    To be honest, most of the music in SOTMC is not ‘my kind of music’ and that’s exactly why I enjoy commenting on it.

    I think if I have any aspirations towards being a ‘real’ musician I should be able to appreciate most kinds of music. Even jazz, although that one can be tricky as I genuinely feel like I’m allergic. I’m sure if I listen to too many jazz tracks in one go I’d come out in hives.

    Anyway one of the best things about SOTMC for me personally is listening to, and appreciating, all kinds of music. Even when I can’t bring myself to actually like it.

    Thank you. :)

    I’ve just realised I missed your track. I’m currently away from home, but I will get back to it when I get back and have half decent WiFi.

    I'm still working on getting you into soul, funk, and country music! 😅

    That’s quite a mashup. I’ll give it a go, with a (reasonably hopefully) open mind :)

  • I’m a bit with @klownshed … I always think SOTMC is not going to be for me but then when I listen to the quality of the contributions I’m hooked 🙏
