  • I wonder how well this one is doing. Seems like a poorly thought out product to me.

I don’t hate it. Just seems, at that price point, I just wish you could have more than one effect at a time.

Same. I'll stick to my Fender amp with iPad control over multi FX.

  • I get that it is BOSS recreating BOSS pedals. But they are digital right?

How can this compete with something like a Zoom MS-50G+?

That does seem weird considering how many other pedals allow multi-digital effects. Quite a few recent amp in a box pedals allow a decent signal chain, so I can’t see a one at a time pedal having longevity.

  • Missed you. I'm wondering - when will we hear your next song, friend? Been almost a year since your last release afaik.

Easy solution, buy 16 of them, one for each effect - clever marketing strategy Boss.

    (Love the picture.)

Ha! Yeah, and also — something that has generated a lot of additional internet ire — is that the whole thing feels like a big carrot up an entrance ramp to Roland Cloud. In hopes they might someday get you to keep sending them money every month.

I guess you could be joking but yeah, buying 16 pedals is not something I think many would do considering what you can buy for less. Kemper, NeuralDSP, Fractal, Line 6 etc etc. Not so clever at all. Especially when there are Zoom pedals that sell for less, have 100 or more pedals on board and allow you to run a chain of up to six in one pedal. I think they are putting too much faith in their (albeit awesome) pedal legacy.

    He was definitely joking.

  • Personally I think this type of pedal and the tc plethora the single pedal verison are a waste. I hate menus and sub menus on a guitar pedal. One big knob like Mxr phase 90 and micro chorus all I need. I get distracted with all the choices then realize all I have done is scroll thru menus and have not actually played the guitar. I’m venting a little as example I have an oceans 11 reverb pedal sounds great I love it but between the knobs not labeled and the hidden modes I’m scared to move knobs in fear I’ll never get back it wheee I was. Maybe I’m just too old to learn new tricks. lol

  • Oh the humanity!

Over-the-top moral outrage aside, it just doesn't sound very good to my ears. The Sweetwater demo on Youtube is funny - poor Mitch just can't help turning his nose up while still trying to shill for Boss.

Shame really, because I really like the idea of a single swappable stereo FX with expression input. But yeah, this one is waaay too expensive for what you get.

    Life goes on.
