dj controller in loopy pro

has anyone duplicated a dj controller setup in loopy pro? I’d love to replicate something like a pioneer ddj flx dj controller in loopy pro, and have it work the same way. is it possible? what would one use for a crossfader type switch?

  • something like this

  • maybe not even a full controller. i’d just like to know how to take one song(loop), and crossfade to another loop playing, and have them both playing at once. and mix back and forth between the two

A fader set up with one action to change the volume of one clip and and action to change the volume of the other clip set up
    In the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, at the mid-point there will be a slight volume dip…we are working on an equal-power crossfade curve so that won’t happen.

yeah, i just tried that. another cool option would be a one button switch that would invert a bitto. or knobs current setting. cool be a handy feature in loopy

  • I’m not a dj, so not very familiar with a dj stuff. But here’s my quick version that uses separate channels and a “mix” send bus. Sends are configured in “post fader” mode that allows to control volumes and a crossfader separately. But I guess it has the same issue with overall volume loss in the middle. Maybe it is possible to create a smart Drambo volume compensation fx that will take the crossfader position and add volume if it’s closer to the mid, but that needs more discovery
