Syncing issues with iPadOS 26 Logic Pro 2.2.1 and MIDI External Gear

Greetings, fellow loopers! I’m currently using iPadOS 26 public beta 26.1. I’m curious to know if anyone has encountered any issues with Logic Pro (as the master) syncing with external gear via USB MIDI.

I’ve attempted to sync Logic Pro with my primary MIDI interface, which is a MioXL. However, every routing configuration I try within the Auracle app seems to be unsuccessful. Interestingly, when I test this setup in Cubasis 3, it works, even though there are limited sync options available. It appears to work with Loopy Pro with minimal testing.

While I haven’t tested all my external gear, I do know that Logic Pro can sync with my Teenage Engineering’s TX-6 mixer. There was a time when I could also sync my OXI One sequencer with the MioXL, but unfortunately, I can’t seem to do it anymore. I can receive incoming MIDI messages to Logic Pro, but I haven’t been able to successfully send them out during my testing.

It seems that my gear has a better chance of syncing directly to my USB hub and iPad, but I’m puzzled as to why other DAWs are working fine. Is this an issue specific to iPadOS 26 beta? I haven’t been able to find any release notes on Apple’s website that address this problem.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions 🙏✌️

  • Has Logic Pro ever worked with the MioXL? With earlier versions of Logic Pro or iPadOS?

Yea, I’m pretty sure it was working with iPadOS 18, but I’m not too sure what version of Logic Pro I was on or if that even mattered.

  • If anyone can confirm Logic Pro 2.2.1 or earlier syncs with their midi gear, that would be very useful for me! 🙏

I feel like iconnectiviy’s MioXL and the Auracle app might be routing incorrectly when plugged back into the ipad.

    • Did you really mean iOS 26 beta? The production release is out.
    • What do you mean by "sync"? Does tempo get set but transport doesn't start / stop? Or does neither work?
    • How does one "sync" with an interface? Do you really mean "send midi clock from Logic Pro to the MioXL, then out to other gear?
  • Update: It was a matter of routing the Auracle app on macOS to the appropriate DAW devices. It’s a pita because there isn’t an iPadOS app like iConnectivity had for there earlier interfaces. So every time I want to change a routing/midi parameter I have to plug it into my mac and then unplug and test it on my iPad Pro. Also, saved midi/usb device’s names can only be saved on macOS and don’t show up on iPadOS unless your reset your iPad. 😢
