October means Halloween! What are your favorite spooky sounds on iPad?

Here’s a few I think have a haunting, otherworldly, or spooky sounds:

Animoog Z - visuals and sounds blend for haunting aesthetics

Thereminator 2 - theremins are otherworldly

KingB - goth organ

Magellan - has spooky sound packs

Pure Acid - acidic bass

Ova Synth - ambient works well for spooky sounds

Tardigrain - gets nice creaks and groans

Ghostchorus, EchoFlower, PulseRipper - otherworldly reverb and time effects

Riffler, Piano Motiff - get some goth or classical haunting riffs

Anything AuroraDSP - gritty sounds

Anything glitchy

  • If memory serves (I'm away from iPad atm), there's a Halloween sound pack IAP in Module Pro. I also used Beathawk to produce a couple of Halloweenish beats back in 2023, which were a lot of fun to create.

  • Similar to Tardigrain, you can find some spooky sounds going through the Wavecloud presets. Paul picked some wild factory samples for that one, man… haha

Fieldscaper can get pretty ghastly too, even with the most pleasant of inputs

    FRMS and Qaunta/Quanta 2...

  • It’s halloween already? Should I start buying my xmas gifts?

  • I probably won’t be able to create something in one month, but I’m certainly have a plan to do something spooky with Pianoteq H. Ruckers Harpsichord and GSi Cantoria Organ. Also SWAM solo violins / Pure Strings / Staffpad orchestra worth mentioning.

  • Ivcs3 and Model 15 are excellent at this , which shouldn’t be a surprise . You know what else is EXTREMELY good for spooky stuff? Kronecker , especially paired with Fauve. šŸŽƒ

I meant to add Pianoteq. I’ve got the upright pack and you can change the condition. Good for an old sounding piano.

NoInputMixer, RadioUnit (and an ā€˜Old Time’ station) through Gongamp, recorded in Gauss and slowed down.

I’m curious which Beathawk packs you used and also to hear the beats if you have them. I only have a few Beathawk IAPs (acoustic drums, bass, and the one with the harps).
