Logic Pro multi-out issues with OneShot and Pure Acid

I don’t have an option for multi-out for OneShot or Pure Acid AUv3s in Logic Pro but it appears to work for DrumPerfect Player plugin from DrumPerfect Pro. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Here’s a video showing the steps to setup. The second half is just showing that it appears that both work fine in AUM.

I followed along with this Jade Starr video. I don’t have DigiStix 2 to test but that doesn’t matter (if anyone does have it I’d be interested if it’s written).

Here’s a Jakob Haq short I also used as reference. He’s using Pure Acid here so I know the functionality exists.

Logic Pro and all tested plugins are up to date. On iPadOS 26.0

  • Bump - anyone able to check if their OneShot or Pure Acid work in Logic Pro?

Load the multi-out version of Pure Acid to a track in Logic, save the project, reload it and ‘replace’ the multi-out version with it self but tap the ‘Stereo’ option and pick the output mode…

This only needs to be done once (for each multi-out capable plug-in if it’s not correctly registered). Hopefully the next Logic update when ever it drops will fix this glitch…

Don’t have Oneshot and will not buy it just to check this…

This decided to work today all of a sudden. Maybe the “save the project” part kicked in after exiting the app a few times.

While on the multi-out topic, do you know how to do multi-out for effect plugins? I’d like to use FAC Medusa’s multi-out feature.

As far as I know AUv3 Multi-Out Effects are not currently supported by LogicPro for iPad nor Cubasis.
Both AUM and Drambo do support Multi-Out AUv3 Effects...

Dang that’s a shame. I would’ve expected Apple’s native DAW to be fully capable of the offered AUv3 features. Maybe that shouldn’t be surprising though. Would this mean no side chain compression effects in Cubasis nor Logic Pro?

ApeMatrix supports multi-out for effect plugins along with AUM and Drambo.

Side-Chain is definitely doable on both Cubasis and LogicPro for iPad...

It's just multi OUT from AUv3 Effects (there's honestly not that many out there) that is currently not supported.

Yeah it's honestly a little crazy that Logic Pro doesn't have a full reference implementation of all AUv3 features. Like, do the "AUv3" team and the Logic team ever get lunch together or anything?? ;-P

  • Does anyone successfully use AUv3 instrument multi-out in Logic?

I've loaded the Pure Acid and Ruismaker FM multi-out versions, replaced them with theirselves (from mixer set-up or anywhere else that will let me replace). Never get an option to select anything other than stereo out.
I've repeated this several times, saved and reloaded the project, added new busses both before and after trying to get a multi-out to show up...

    Any ideas?

Try saving the session with the plug-ins, quit logic and re-load the session and You should be able to select the multiple-outputs when replacing the plug-in after the session is reloaded. This only needs to be done once per plug-in, after that it will work in new projects.

Both Pure Acid and Ruismakers work without any issues here.

Ah yes quitting out Logic altogether did it! What a stupid hoop to jump through! Come on Apple this needs to be fixed...
    Thanks Samu as always 🙏
