The Wait Is Over: RipX is Coming to iOS.

Received the e-mail above a few days ago, which is crazy because only a few days prior to that I was very close to starting a thread here on the forum wondering why RIPX hasn’t been developed for iOS! 😅 (Seeing as how they developed RIPX Backstage for Apple Vision)
Applying for the beta leads to an e-mail where you have to answer various questions about your iOS devices and why they should pick you as a tester, so if anyone reading this is interested but are not on their mailing list try to join their Discord instead and ask there regarding beta testing. 🙂
I just replied that I honestly do not care if they pick other beta testers than me since I’m just so happy and thankful RIPX is finally coming to iOS! ☺️👍
I think there is one app kinda similar to Melodyne for iOS (probably subscription-based), right?
But all in all it is very limited compared to Melodyne, while RIPX is like 10 times more powerful than Melodyne when it comes to Audio (and MIDI) manipulation! 😎
Fingers crossed there will only be a one-payment and no subscription whatsoever! 😉

Comments
Whoa! Coolio.
Vocal Tune Studio can be used like Melodyne (as seen here) but only on vocal and solo instrument lines - not polyphonic. So, this looks very interesting!
Forgive my ignorance
What will RipX bring to iOS that's not already available? Im complete unfamiliar with it, but why is it important that The Wait Is Over?
Im not trying to be antagonistic, just honestly curious
I think it’s considered to be the best at what it does.
Thanks for asking! 🙏
Regarding ”The Wait Is Over” I guess many, including me, who have used the desktop version have ever since using it dreamed about an iOS-version. ☺️
Basically it’s possible to interact with polyphonic audio just like one would edit MIDI, so it’s possible to just adjust a single note in a guitar/piano chord with ease.
Essentially all types of polyphonic audio becomes as easy to edit as MIDI notes with RIPX.
One can then start messing with intelligent harmony, scales, keys etc with any type of audio.
Change the timing/feel of any audio.
Replace any audio with whatever sounds and sample(s) one might have.
And tons more. ☺️👍
One could for instance play a real electric bass, slap style 😎 and then replace that take with a synth/vocal/marimba/flute sound, or vice versa! 😂
The ”feel” of the slap bass take is still there but the sound has morphed into something else.
It’s a really fun way of manipulating audio and trying out various ideas which would otherwise not be possible to do. 😁
Also If you ”RIP” any track, be it from Vinyl or Youtube or even your own old demos on minidisc/cassette/mp3 😅, with stem separation one can then play those various instrument sounds in the song with various MIDI controllers - so the stuff one did say 15-25 years ago is very easy to remix or even make a new version of! 😍
Or mix the bass from a track you did 10 years ago, with keys you recorded 2 months ago together with the drums from a track you made 5 years ago - in the same key/scale of choice and perfectly synced to whatever BPM you’d prefer! 💪😎
Endless possibilities.
I’m really happy to see it coming to iOS, even if it only turns out to be a ”dumbed down” version and not the full-fledged RIPX DAW - Soon we’ll hopefully know more! 🙂
So that's what it does. It's like Melodyne in a sense, but for polyphonic audio.
Can't wait to give this a shot, and I hope it won't be subscription, lol. I don't mind paying subscription for certain things though, lol.
Yeah it’s pretty crazy how powerful it is 😁, if you happen to like the sound of the piano in a certain song from say the 70s/80s you can just ”rip” the song and then isolate the piano and play whatever you feel like on your keyboard with ”that sound”! Or certain sounds from Super Nintendo games or the brass section from old funk records etc. 😅
Insane really. ☺️
I know all of us have tons of old ideas/demos, semi-finished tracks and whatnot be it as mp3s/wavs/minidiscs/whatever, with RIPX one can find new ways to use all those old recordings/ideas we all have, personally I love it since I have been all over the place in my musical journey! 😂
Fun to mix and match stuff! 😉
Subscription would be really disappointing since one would like to access all the stuff without being tied to RIPX for life! 😬
BTW @jwmmakerofmusic @CRAKROX @PapaBPoppin @pbelgium & @Poppadocrock
There’s a full access demo for desktop, try it for 21 days just to get an idea of all the possibilities 🙂👍

Cool. Thanks.
Like everything else still can’t extract guitar riffs.
Aside from editing, it was also regarded by many as the highest quality stem seperation tool available about a year or so ago. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but it remains the best one I've used to date and I've tried quite a few others.
