Canon in D Major - Live Guitar Loop

Live loop of Johann Pachelbel's 'Canon in D Major' - managed to squeeze in 12 guitars.

There was a recent thread about looping and how boring it can be due to the time it takes to set up the loop/song. I tend to agree with that sentiment, but sometimes with the right tune, hearing the piece evolve can be interesting for the looper and the listener. Maybe this is one of those tunes.

Strandberg -> Lekato Loop Station -> Klon Minotaur -> Nembrini Faceman (IR Loader York Audio Bassman cab) -> Delay3000 -> DDMF MagicDeathEye Stereo -> MagicVerb

  • Nice. Well done.
Are you a classical player? If so post more classical pieces.

  • Great, love it

  • Lovely version @pbelgium , impressive looping and playing 🙏
Can I be cheeky and post my version, played in one take with GeoShred… just don’t mention the 100’s of failed attempts ☹️

Not really a classical player - blues, rock, jazz. I did a nice Bach loop a few years ago which I think is one of my best posts. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the listen @cuscolima! Much appreciated.

Thanks @GeoTony, I practiced this for an hour or four to cut back on the failed attempts. And no worries posting more Pachelbel's here, the more the merrier if anyone else wants to add. That's a nice take with considerably more plays. How do you do it? I'm lucky if I make 20 plays these days!

Great tone, great playing, great googly moogly! Thanks for sharing this! (That Bach one was rad too!) 🤙

  • Think luck plays a large part @pbelgium + I do Artist Pro which does the recommend algorithm thing although it’s a bit flaky sometimes.
I think the subject matter of this one helped… it has by far the most listens of anything I’ve done.
Believe me if I could work out why some tracks get invited to all the parties and others just sit by themselves in the corner I’d bottle it !
