What specific problems are you referring to?
It doesn't remember Dark Mode preferences -- even going from one page to the next -- and it only shows current stuff when you're signed in, and I'm not even sure that's always true.
I've seen it in multiple browsers on multiple platforms.
@telecharge - I have never experienced the dark mode problem, at least not the way you describe it. Once in a while dark mode will be forgotten. That's probably due to cookie expiration. Cookies are not supposed to have an indefinite life.
I wonder if you answered no when asked for permission to use cookies. Or, if you have a java script or cache removal setting somewhere that's preventing things working as they should.
I can understand the cached content when not signed in. I believe that was a setting @Michael made in an attempt to improve performance when the server was acting up due to high load. I'm certain that's not common behavior when signed in though.
Anyway, I don't think anything is being done to address those issues as they're not commonly reported. They could be local settings, server settings, or vanilla bugs. As far as I know, there aren't any plans to update the forum software, though that's not something I'd necessarily know.
@wim Yeah, it's probably my security settings. Thanks for the consideration and feedback.
Couple +1s for Elektronauts and Modwiggler.
Elektronauts has one for of the more welcoming communities that I’ve been apart of, and have made some meaningful connections there.
Modwiggler has a plethora of resources and quite a few knowledgeable cats, and one is f the best for sale markets around. As a side note, I’ve got most my gear from there, and scored some screaming deals too.
Haha, just read your list, Modwiggler is obviously mostly gear oriented, but Elektronauts has a pretty good blend of discussions, and meets the no/little drama mark.
It would be great to get to the bottom of it. I think I recall one or two people saying similar things several months back. If you do find anything on your end that improves things, it'd be helpful if you could let us know.
Also llllllllines.
Yep, that decision was absolutely terrible. It's right up there with Nanostudio 2 never getting audio tracks.
I guess both were decisions born of money. In one case not enough money made the decision and in the other a desire to make even more money selling laggy bluetooth devices. Thanks Apple!
Fine if you go there just for specific questions, but don’t expect impartiality from the mods or friendliness from the long-time posters who always complain that the place used to be better.
Useful information to be had, but with a large toxic streak throughout.
Yep, nothing has changed about that place at all. Lol.
