Soloing a channel in AUM silences reverb on bus send? How to route please?

Hello,

I could really do with help here please.

If I want to solo a track in AUM I want my reverb bus to still be active, but I must be routing incorrectly as the reverb gets muted with everything else.

I also have another bus with a compressor on and this automatically solos as my synth channel is being routed there.

The reverb send is on an fx slot and AUM mutes it.

Can anyone please tell me the correct routing so that my reverb stays on when channels are soloed.![]

Thanks,

Rud.

Hi. I've never found a solution to this. Instead, I mute the other instruments in order to hear one alone, including the send effects. This is OK for tweaking, not so much for live performance.

Edit: Because AUM allows you to "Solo" several channels at once, you can just manually solo the reverb channel along with the instrument you want to hear. Not automatic, but gets the job done.

You need to solo both the instrument and the bus I believe

  • @uncledave @espiegel123 thank you both for the help.
I love AUM but it doesn’t seem like a great way to jam something out. I tried the same setup in Loopy Pro, and it works perfectly straight away. The reverb on the send stays audible when I solo individual channels.
Looks like I might have to migrate fully to Loopy Pro for my jams.
    Thanks again.

  • Is the solo toggle something that can be routed to a controller, so that multiple channels can be selected for solo with one button?

Yes. It is available for MIDI Control in the AUM Channel controls – Gear icon, then Sliders icon in the Settings menu. But it can get a bit snaky trying to create general logic for multiple solos and mutes, and dealing with undetected user interventions.
