Solo channels and triggering Transit in Loopy Pro - help please

Hi,

Sorry to start another thread but I couldn’t find the best existing thread.

  1. Can I solo 2 or 3 channels at once? Sometimes I need to drop several channels out but I cannot mute that many at once. (I am using a Launchpad Control XL as well as a Launch Pad)

  2. When using ‘Transit’, I cannot midi map a button on my controller to press the button on the app that triggers the fx transition. I have tried numerous ways but cannot find a way to ‘press’ the button in the app. I can only find things like alter parameter etc. I can use a fader on my Launch Control, but not an actual button.

I am sorry to ask. If there was a Loopy Pro Pub I would buy you all a pint.

Does Transit support control via MIDI?

Is there an AUv3 parameter that corresponds to that button? If so, that would be the best way to trigger it. If there is an AUv3 parameter you could create a midi binding to it so that the XL triggers it.

Currently solo of multiple mixer channels isn’t possible within the same category.

  • This may not work for your use-case, but you can mute and unmute as many channels as you want with a single binding.

It's useful to set up widgets to do what you want first, then bind to the widgets. It's easier to debug and alter widget actions than to keep track of many bindings.

In this case, you could set up a button widget that mutes the channels you don't want and unmutes the one you do, then you would bind that button to be triggered from the XL button.
