New to LoopyPro – Setup Help Pls - Guitar + Katana:Go + iPhone

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m brand new to LoopyPro and need some setup help.

I just purchased LoopyPro yesterday (super excited!) and got approved on the forum. Total newbie here — I’ve mostly played acoustic and classical guitar over the years, but now I’m diving into electric guitar looping for the first time. 🎸

My goal is to build full loops with rhythm, bass lines, fingerpicking, and lead solos — all layered live.

Here’s my current portable setup:

  1. Squier Sonic HSS Strat
  2. Boss Katana:Go
  3. Boss Katana Mini Amp or headphones
  4. iPhone 16 running LoopyPro

Here’s how I’ve connected things:

  • Guitar → Katana:Go
  • Katana:Go → iPhone 16 via USB-C (for LoopyPro)
  • Katana:Go → Katana Mini (for monitoring) using a 3.5mm TRS to 6.35mm TS mono cable

My iPhone shows the following Bluetooth connections:

  • KATANA:GO AUDIO ✅ Connected
  • KATANA:GO MIDI ✅ Connected

LoopyPro also detects the KATANA:GO MIDI device.

But here’s the problem: I’m not getting any guitar sound into LoopyPro.
The tracks don’t show any input signal when I play.

Is there a specific setting I need to configure in LoopyPro to get audio in via USB-C?
Or could it be something in the Katana:Go setup?

Any help would be hugely appreciated — I’m really excited to start creating loops and want to make sure I’ve got the signal flow right. 🙏

Thanks so much in advance!

You may have to turn off the Katana GO’s Bluetooth Audio for the OS to see its USB Audio. The issue is likely to be whether iOS sees the Go’s USB audio rather than something Loopy specific.

I suggest turning off the Bluetooth audio connection then following the troubleshooting procedure in this article:
