Frustrated with Android, so back to iPhone I go...

The label on the tin says it all. 😂 Don't get me wrong, I love my S25 Ultra smartphone for the fact it has an S-Pen, and I can produce some rudimentary music on it. However, I miss being able to be able to produce full tracks on a phone while on the move.

So I put on Affirm Loan a refurbished iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB. Afaik, there's nothing a 17 can do that a 16 can't do. Just a different form factor for the camera bumps. And it uses USB-C instead of Lightning, so therefore I can use it with my keyboards.

I'm still keeping my S25 Ultra phone as a backup, but it's time I move back to iPhone ecosystem so I can produce music on the move again.

  • Do the 16 or 17 still use lightning?

    14 was the first.

I could've sworn it was the 15 since I had a 14 Pro Max, and that used lightning.

Anyways, update. I got my new iPhone all set up, the eSIM switched over, the important apps like travel and banking all set up, etc. Now it's time to install some music apps.

  • Is there a different ecosystem of music stuff on android? Like, synths and stuff on one that isn’t on the other? Will anything from android be missed?

To put it nicely, Android has far, far less music apps than iOS. Android is better suited for visual art on the go.

Would you say better “visual art on the go” applies to Android tablets as well?

Depends on the Android tablet. Then again mate, it's tough to top ProCreate on iPad.
