Yeah… I kinda thought that, and double-checked before posting. There is a decent amount of factory presets in Factory, but not what I would call huge compared to some other synths, and not “the most advanced in the platform”, unless the 3rd party presets for desktop are compatible. I’m still looking into that, and I’m not trying to make a point or win an argument. I just don’t want to miss out if there are good (for me) presets that can save me some time.
Love the Korg iM1, You can set the master tuning to 2 decimal places. 2 instances with different tuning, panned left and right = binaural beats for brainwave entrainment!
I was thinking more about the preset library functionality, even though the sheer number of presets is more than enough, maybe it's not too huge. 🤫🤭 However, the ability to search presets by cloud, tags, author, folder, or rating is fantastic. Finding the synth with this level of preset library functionality is not easy.
I agree with that! Very unique and intuitive way to find presets.
Here you can find 20 extra patches for Factory from our friend @richardyot. 😌

How to get to a bare-bones init patch in Factory?
Tap Init in the cloud, you get some alternatives. The basic one from SB sounds pretty bare-bones.
There’s this one.

Thanks. My eyeballs didn't pick up on init in the tag cloud. Finally found it. 👍🏼
Factory presets are compatible between desktop and iOS. I didn’t know that, but I confirmed it by asking my AI friend who knows everything.
Must be true then
🤣
Fab filter Twin 3 ?
Twin 3 is a deep rabbit hole of a synth. I'm unsure it can do everything per se, but it comes pretty close.
Sounds great but not at all easy to understand. For me anyway.
😉
Also worth to mention : Terra Pro, Nambu - both super powerfull complex synths capable of basically any thinkable sound in top-noch quality.
Twin is great, but in general, the user interface of FabFilter plugins on the iPad (especially if you have a mini) is almost unusable for me... it's too small, not optimized for touch screens at all... but the sound quality is great.
another vote for ivcs3, I mean it kinda can do it all, unless you want polyphony or something easy to use, or logical. I mean it even has a sampler built in. It's the only synth I won't ever delete. Ever.
Yeah, Twin 3 requires an Apple Pencil to work with it. 😂 But damn, it's worth it.
