Ok, this blew my mind .. I have to officially admit i REALLY like this - not as a elaborate AI but as an actual song. There is more on that YT channel - it’s made by Rick Beato mostly using Suno ..

Sadly, this is pretty impressive. Googling Rick Beato's involvement I just saw this a few times: "Sadie Winters is the artist who never was — and yet became real enough to move millions. Conceived on CBS Saturday Morning in a collaboration between journalist Dave Malkoff and music producer Rick Beato, Sadie was created entirely with artificial intelligence."

The vague way that is written and the lack of other info about Rick Beato's involvement are not indicators that Beato is heavily involved in this or had anything to do with making this song or video. Maybe he did, but you'd think they'd mention that in the video blurb, and the video would have a hell of a lot more views than the 9k it currently has!

His involvement was probably just to shout “Get your AI off my lawn and use proper guitars.” after listening to it.

I'm happy to introduce you here. Your real non-AI music speaks for itself. :) How is the M8 treating you these days?

Well, currently real threat is Anbernic handheld gaming console I bought recently with thousands of nintendo/gameboy/mame/atari/super famicon/sega/psp/psx games from 80’s and 90’s and I am playing all that stuff I played as kid - maximum nostalgia - and killing with it literally all free time I have 🤣🤣

    Ha! Have fun, mate.

    (Edit: I just realised I made a "Dirtywave M8" pun and didn't even know it. 😂 )

at the point ai can write something like this, i quit play instruments and singing.

Why ? There are probably hundreds of thousands people on Earth who are playing instruments and singing better than you - and you don’t see it as reason to quit.

Why is it different with AI ?

I am honestly failing to see why musicians feels threatened by AI - especially indie artists and people with music as hobby. Of course commercial music “producers” should feel threatened - but indie artists and hobbyists ?? No way .. AI reprezents zero threat to us.

    Again, completely agree.

Cherry-picking is capitalism’s favorite fallacy in order to have a curated clean and tidy reality on display.
It’s not ignorance but self-defense: a way to mute contradiction and keep the comforting illusion intact.
But this doesn't seem to hold anymore, so I have hope...

Honestly can I ask you from which country you are ?

I spent fiirst 15 years of my life in communistic/socialistic dictature and I was VERY aware of how big mess it was. That’s why I am a bit triggered when is see somebody shit on capitalism and free market.

Communism/socialism was provent to be absolute shit ideology MULTIPLE times in multiple countries in recenr 100 years .. in general leftism is just anti-human ideology and leads to decline of civilisation - many many cases in history are proving that.

I must admit that while this is an accurate observation (all socialist/communist countries have failed in one way or another), I AM kinda touched by some of the assessments by Karl Marx etc., especially on the topic of "alienation" of humans from the results of their work.

Communist talking points do look good on paper, and I'm not entirely sure why they always seem to fail in reality. Interesting discussion for another thread maybe 😄 (but I need a nap first)

Communism, Marxism, Socialism are the products of intellectuals who don't understand how people think and act in their own self-interest. We are universally self-interested. The founders and framers of the US Constitution understood this (having learned the lessons of history and the dangers of giving any one person too much concentrated power) and so created a rivalrous system, a balance of power which would prevent another kingdom from taking root in the new world. Those who promote all-powerful government or government run by mobs never learned these lessons.

I think GarageBand and Logic Pro will have to add this ability to create generative vocals and instruments on a per track basis like this in order to remain competitive. I used to see Suno as a lousy sounding generative audio service, but they have really stepped up in terms of options for their paid users.

    Excellent. Exactly this.

Communism is same intellectual masturbation impossible to work in real world like it’s opposite anarchocapitalism.

    @NeuM @dendy

Humans aren’t selfish by nature! That’s just capitalism pretending to be biology.
    Quite a stinky trick.

People aren’t “universally self-interested” - they’re trained to be, because capitalism only rewards that behavior.
For most of history, humans survived through cooperation, not competition.
Mutual aid, not markets, built societies that you live in and take for granted (as invisible structures).

Anthropology and evolutionary science show we’re a deeply cooperative species.
Michael Tomasello’s research at the Max Planck Institute found that toddlers help and share without any reward, from pure instinct. Robert Boyd and Peter Richerson showed that culture, not competition, shaped our evolution: humans survive by building shared norms and mutual trust. Studies like Apicella et al. (2019, ScienceDirect) and Handley & Mathew (2020, Nature Communications) prove that large-scale cooperation, even with strangers, is uniquely human!

If “self-interest” were truly natural, society would collapse the moment no one was watching.
Yet people keep volunteering, sharing, caring for kids, rescuing strangers, forming communities like this one here. That’s not capitalism, that’s humanity.

    Graeber put it best:
"we’re social creatures forced to act like selfish ones to fit a system built on that lie."

    also---
Marxism and socialism weren’t cooked up by ivory-tower dreamers,
they came from workers, peasants, and ordinary people trying to live
without being crushed by those who hoard power and property.

    You’re speaking from a narrow capitalist-realist western-only mindset,
the kind that can’t imagine anything beyond the current system,
so it calls everything else “impossible.”

The U.S. “balance of power” you praise was designed by rich men to protect property, not freedom.
The real danger isn’t “mob rule,” it’s believing that hierarchy and greed are somehow natural.
Read a little history, ignorance isn’t an argument, it’s just loud.

Communism is same intellectual masturbation impossible to work in real world like it’s opposite anarchocapitalism.

That’s just lazy cynicism dressed up as realism.
And as I said, I know where it comes from.
I live in Romania, as I already told you.
But my trauma is not that big to blind me for life...

    Communism and anarchism have worked!
Just not as top-down states. Look at the anarchist communes in Spain (1936), where workers ran farms and factories collectively and efficiently until they were crushed by fascists backed by capitalist powers. Or the Zapatistas in Chiapas, still thriving with self-governed villages and no bosses. Or Rojava in Syria, building a functioning democratic confederation while surrounded by hostile states.

These experiments didn’t fail because they “don’t work”!
they were systematically destroyed by the very capitalist nations that couldn’t allow alternatives to exist.

And please, stop calling what happened in the Eastern Bloc “communism” or “socialism.”
Those were state dictatorships, not societies built on collective ownership or mutual aid.
They used socialist language to justify total control, the exact opposite of what socialism actually means.

Do you even know what communism or socialism are?!?
Or just the popular capitalist grotesque caricature,
the one designed to make sure you never question
who benefits from keeping it misunderstood?

Well, while watching from behind ocean what US Gov is doing (centralization of power, increasing government competencies, liquidating political opponents, destroying own economy with tarrifs, permanently rekt markers with dumb statements - lot of other things) - this is literally most anti-capitalist, anti-free market government US ever had in entire history… They literally behave sometimes lile hardcore marxists .. Maybe it’s kust result of their incompetency - not arguing about that - but their moves feels socialistic more than anything any previous democrats did.

plutocrscy/oligarchy is strong also in Russia (probably strongest on planet) and was alwas strong also in typical socialistic countries .. this is not result of any system, it’s just result that main people’s motivation is competetiveness, and cooperation just in case it improves their competitive advantage against other coopersting groups

We're just never going to agree on this. There are no kings in America. If we had one, you'd know it. Everyone would know it. Right now, the imaginations of his critics have painted him to be a caricature which he's able to exploit very successfully to get results. How else would you explain the peace deal reached in the Middle East? If the sides involved view him as someone who could destroy both sides and think nothing of it, then he used his influence for good and you should recognize that.

And since the "No Kings" marches have been organized mainly by Communists and their ilk (yes, I've seen their flyers with the logos and signatories of the Communist Party USA, Socialists and many Leftist unions which should not even exist in the US), I think these fools are a societal poison which should be removed from the United States with far, far more aggressive legal authority. A "king" wouldn't ask for permission or wait for the courts.
