Listened to a few tracks, Claudia is a favorite so far. Will dive deeper when I can give my full attention, album has that complex yet easy going Steely Dan vibe, I dig it! Great work 🤙
Glad you dig it - "Steely Dan vibe" is high praise, so I'll do my best to live up to that 😁
Purchased.

Lovely album…
You have a very distinctive sound… one that I like 👍
Very much enjoyed the homage to Gilmour in the 2nd track
Track 9 just seemed a perfectly formed little gem, probably my favourite.
Great playing throughout, especially enjoyed the guitar breaks but keyboard, flute, everything really 🙏
Wow - I appreciate the thoughtful feedback. I am definitely going for a specific genre and vibe with these last couple albums. My previous releases were a bit all over the map, and while that's not necessarily A BAD thing, I'm making an effort for each of these albums to have a more consistent attitude and energy.
Glad you picked up on the Gilmour nod - it was deliberate but hopefully not too heavy handed.
Track 9 was inspired by an outtake off the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving soundtrack. It was a 1 minute, unfinished demo/idea that I decided to finish in honor of the great Vince Guaraldi, who wrote all that amazing music.
I'm so glad you liked it - thanks for taking the time to provide your thoughts.
Finally had a chance to skim through the album, and I'm definitely going to give this a proper listen soon! What I will say is mate, you haven't lost your touch! What I've heard so far sounds classic to my ears, but with modern production values. By classic, I mean good music that'll last the ages!
You're very kind. I've always leaned more retro in my musical tastes, so if I can split the difference between retro attitude & instrumentation but with the tunes themselves still sounding fresh and exciting then I feel that I've hit the mark. 😁
I think you have.
Sweet! Going to give this a spin today @Daveypoo
Will report back with feedback. Looking forward to it!
I await your feedback!
Wow @Daveypoo I've only made it halfway through so far, and I’ve got to say; this is one amazing sounding album!
Very well mixed and produced, and has that professionally polished sound!
Standouts to me so far, are:
Adige Adage a Go Go - this has everything a proper Funk song needs! When we look up the term “Funk” in the dictionary, there should be a link to this song!! incredible! Loved every note!
Marauder - Wow again! Such driving force. I think Quinton Tarantino should pay you to use this album in his next film.
Claudia (Listening as I type this, as I saw someone else mention this track. I love the cascading key lines, another gem, shoot all your playing is superb!
I’ll check out the rest later, but damn man, check this out; I haven’t “bought” any music in years, but you’ve got me seriously considering purchasing this album! Can I get it on vinyl LP?
Thank you for the detailed feedback, @Edward_Alexander!
Unfortunately, there's no physical release for this, only digital. The best I can do is send you the raw WAV files if you want it in higher fidelity, but they are only 16 bit. Happy to do so if you'd like.
I appreciate you commenting on Marauder - I struggled with that one. It took a while for me to get the horns to sound right, and I'm still not 100% satisfied with the result, but at some point I just had to let it go.
There are lots of bits throughout my albums that are an homage-at-best and stolen-at-worst from songs I love. The descending line on Claudia is one of those and I'm glad to hear that it's effective in that context.
I’ve only heard the first two tracks (I really must leave for work now!) but they’re fantastic!
The first makes me think you started with a very different take on the Starsky and Hutch theme and just went with it and jammed the hell out of it. Very funky, very Johnny Hammond or Reuben Wilson circa ‘75 but that flute gives it a Cinecitta flair
The 2nd track keeps me thinking of great TV and film music of the 70s, it’s got a KPM or De Wolfe vibe but fleshed out into a complete track, not just a two minute mood piece.
Neither of these sound like homages or pastiche though, they are damn fine tracks in their own right. Also, your production sounds modern and crisp and professional while still keeping the soul in the tracks.
I’m looking forward to getting home to hear the rest
I'm so glad these hit the spot for you @MistaG
I'm in good company with Johnny Hammond or Reuben Wilson - that support flattering. I'm not nearly the organist either of them are but I'll never stop trying!
The second track ended up being a bit more contemporary/smooth than I originally imagined, but it grew on me and I think it works. Often times I'd live a track to be a bit more raw and unpolished but that can be a challenge to achieve with digital sources and processing. That's definitely a code I'm looking to crsck on the next record...
