How to export clips with intro/outro?

Hi!
Maybe a stupid question, I recorded a pack of loops for my project, and now I want to move them to the traditional DAW for the final arrangement. But if I export all the clips via Project->Export the intros/outros are trimmed. Is there a setting to export the whole content of an audio/midi clip with all the intros/outros/tails and so on?

Not a stupid question. Currently, exporting loops only exports the looping part. You could create a timeline with the clips and export multitrack OR edit the loops and move the trim markers so that the beginning is at the intro beginning and the end at the very end.

Hmm, ok, looks like it’s better to make a LP project copy before changing the trimming points. It would be more handy to have an export option somewhere though.

Thank you very much for such a quick reply <3

  • Placing the clips on the timeline and exporting multitrack sounds easier and would be non-destructive. Having the clips in the timeline only has an effect on the project if the timeline sequencer is enabled.

Thank you very much much. I tried this but it seems to export all the “tracks” even if they are empty, also it looks like it doesn’t export MIDI (it gave me empty audio files for midi tracks, though audio clips were exported correctly). I want to use loopy as a versatile audio/midi recorder with all this UI madness, remote control, actions ans so on. But then export the raw audio/midi chops into a traditional DAW where I can edit them, do some fixes and only then build an arrangement

A couple of odds-and-ends. Exporting stems or mixes from the sequencer is done as audio. MIDI tracks are rendered as audio using the synths they send to.

An option to export intros and outros would be handy (I suggest adding a roadmap request. http://roadmap.loopypro.com). Given all that we are working, a near-term change is probably not likely.

Resampling to other clips that don’t have intro’s outros is another option.

I will leave a feature request as soon as I reach my PC. A proper export option will be a nice addition to the workflow, but for now editing clip borders in a duplicated project seems satisfying my needs well enough.

After you add the request, post a link in this thread to help its visibility.
