Master loop per group ?

Hello,

I've got a question regarding loop groups in Loopy Pro, as I want my template to use sections (verse, chorus, bridge...).

Is it possible to set a clip to be the master loop inside a group ?
I would like any clip of a group to follow the length and quantization of the 1st clip of the group.

1st clip of the group = master
Other clip of the group = slave

Example :

Clips of group 1 = 1 bar
Clips of group 2 = 2 bars
Clips of group 3 = 1 bar
etc etc... according to the length of the 1st loop I recorded in each group.

I don't know how to set "play and recording quantization" to achieve that...

Which loop is the "specific loop" if I choose "loop" in the quantization settings ?

Thanks a lot for your help !

  • “Loop” means “self”.

See the project I posted at:

    And watch the demo video.

Basically, the orange clip in each row sets the master cycle when it plays and resets the clock phase. Check the follow actions that change the clip settings as needed.

The orange clips have a recording count-out of 1 bar so that you can record for any amount of time. The other clips in the row use master count-in/out so that they will be multiples of the orange clip.

  • Thanks a lot for your answer, that's basically what I want to achieve with my template.

So I have to deal with the "follow actions" to make the clips follow the 1st clip of each group... okay, I'm gonna seek in that direction, thanks for the advice !
