Great channel, that dude does magical things with old gear 👍
There is also the gs-201 as space echo.
Any good?
Haven't compared it directly to them. From memory it sounded good, but has a lot fewer controls than the Yonac or Audiothing versions.
Not like Audiothing (and Yonac I guess, I don’t own it). GS-201 does have a horrible spring reverb and the overall settings are slim compared to Audiothing and Yonac. The only great delay GSi has made (imho) is Echo B2 https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/echo-b2/id1640987290 It is a replica of the Binson Echorec which had a magnetic disk instead of tape to store its information on. The app has no host sync, just like the real thing but an unique character.
I love the Echorec. My favorite implementation of it is the Nysthi Jira Jira (VCV/miRack)
It has 6 heads with all the Echorec Magnetization and Bias functions, with added optional Sync.
So cool, MiRack is on my to-buy list.
This one is so good and was brought up recently on another thread . You can multiout and throw different fx on each head for some very creative results!
Try turning the Erase Head on and off with a gate trigger, adjust Bias and Magnetization to taste, and feed it with some sparse audio (nothing too busy), start turning the swell up (but be careful at high swell it can get REALLY loud) and listen to it as it builds fantastic rhythmic phrases.
Will try this for sure, cheers 🤙
