Setting midi loops within a DAW as an AUV3 plugin
HI all,
As an AUV3 plugin, Is it possible to set Loopy Pro midi loop lengths independently of the DAW loop while maintaining tempo sync with DAW? I would like to set a Loopy Pro midi loop to trigger an AUV3 instrument on its own DAW track within Cubasis while I record midi into the Cubasis piano roll on a separate track without the DAW loop engaged.

Comments
If Cubasis does Ableton link, you could turn off host sync in Loopy Pro and use Ableton Link.
I don't see what influence the loop length of a DAW and loop lengths in Loopy Pro would have to do with one another ... unless you're using the timeline sequencer in Loopy.
Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any need for special settings in Loopy or the DAW.
I could be wrong but I think the situation is that when a DAW is in loop mode and Loopy Pro is in host sync mode, Loopy Pro follows the host timeline which can result in dissonance between the timelines if the host loops as Loopy doesn’t have an option to ignore the timeline. Maybe I am misinterpreting/misunderstanding the question.
If this is the situation, the trick is to use midi clock (without sing pointer info) or Ableton link which will keep loopy synched with the host without things going wonky if the host timeline cycles.
But maybe I am off base in my understanding of the situation.
If I have misunderstood the issue, make a screen recording slowly and clearly demonstrating the problem and post a link so we can see what is happening.
@espiegel123
Ableton Link with host sync disabled worked to keep loop settings independent of the host while maintaining tempo sync.
Thanks you so much.

My question was more of an inquiry into the technical feasibility of independent host and plugin loop configuration when loopy pro is the AUV3. I purchased a few AUV3 midi sequencers in the past that would be overruled by the host loop settings if I wanted to use clock sync. The Ableton Link solution that @espiegel123 described works great. I just wanted to avoid getting another app that wouldn’t work the way I intended so I was asking for some shared experiences beforehand that’s all.
